Ocean Bliss by Sugar Coliving ★★★★
"It was a short notice appointment, but they were happy to accommodate. Both the room and shower room were clean, and the hot water was plenty and comfortable."
AWON HOTEL MIRISSA ★★★★
"Our stay at Awon Hotel was really good! The rooms were decent and comfortable, and the hygiene and cleanliness were excellent. The best part is the location, it is very close to the beach and most of the main attractions in Mirissa. Most importantly, the owner was incredibly friendly and helpful with everything, especially when it came to arranging transport and other activities. I highly recommend choosing Awon Hotel if you are visiting Mirissa"
Dickwella Resort and Spa ★★★★★
"Not that friendly staff"
NiiRA Mirissa
"Our stay at NiiRA was simply amazing. It was our very first stop after the wedding, and we truly couldn’t have chosen a more beautiful place. It’s definitely a place we would love to return to again. Everything about our experience was perfect from the delicious food to the stunning presentation. And of course, the location itself was absolutely breathtaking! A big thank you to the entire team for your exceptional hospitality. We genuinely felt at home. ♥️ Thank you once again, Team NiiRA! Wishing you all the very best.. We will definitely be back! 🫶🏻"
Hotel Ferola ★★★★
Beach & Bliss Mirissa ★★★★
"The photos are incredibly deceiving — what’s advertised online is not what you walk into. It felt like dealing with a dodgy salesperson: all shine and spin, very little substance. The safe didn’t work, the sliding door wouldn’t lock properly (which felt unsafe and unacceptable), the air conditioner unit dripped water next to the bed and overall maintenance was well below standard. Presentation might look glossy in pictures, but in reality it’s poorly maintained and misleadingly marketed. I wouldn’t stay here again and would strongly suggest management address the basic safety and honesty issues before promoting it the way they do."
Mirissa Beach Villa ★★★
"This lodge is wonderful, it's something special. I stayed there with my family at Easter and it was one of the best experiences in Sri Lanka. The service is excellent, the manager is very polite and always attentive to any need, highly recommended!!!"
Cascara Resort Weligama ★★★★★
"As the first person to write a review, I'll say right away: I absolutely recommend staying here! This hotel is wonderful in every way, from the service to the secluded atmosphere. The breakfasts are excellent – even with just one main menu, there's still a good selection. I was surprised by how well-stocked the room was: I'm not talking about the mini-bar and drinking water, but the bathroom, which has absolutely everything you need, including perfumed toiletries. The conditioner, shampoo, body lotion, and scrub are all fantastic quality. The room is incredibly spacious, and the shower is wonderful. It matches the photos and description 100%. I want to thank the staff for their hospitality, the manager and owner for their smiles and morning chats, and the chef for the excellent cuisine and for helping with a special personal request. It's very close to the coastline, with restaurants, beach clubs, and shops nearby. It was my first time in Sri Lanka, and I have to say, in some ways, I liked this hotel even more than the island itself. Rating: 10/10. I will definitely be back!"
Southbeach Weligama ★★★★

Hey Lala Talalla
"This is a very cozy spot that makes you feel like you're living in solitude with nature, right among the rocks. Yes, there's a road nearby, but it absolutely doesn't disturb your rest and relaxation. Everything is clean and tidy, and there's a kitchen, which is very convenient for longer stays. The beach is just a few minutes' walk away. If you're looking for a peaceful place with a nice atmosphere and close proximity to nature – I wholeheartedly recommend it!"
Randiya Sea View Hotel
"The hotel is located on a road leading to the beach; you have to walk along this road to get to the beach."

We Escape Weligama
"I went to Kima Surf Camp in the off-season during September and had a fantastic experience. The surf instructors were, by and large, amazing. In particular, Chuti was always motivating me to push to a higher level and providing just the right level of encouragement and advice. The kitchen staff were also great, very attentive without being overbearing. The whole experience, from breakfast to dinner, was one of the best I’ve seen at a hostel in my time traveling (over the course of many years). Kima also advertises a learn-to-surf package, which is a 5-day course of morning sessions. I would say this is an appropriate course for those who have no experience, but if you have the ability to stand up on the board and position your feet while stationary on the sand, and you know how to turn, then this course might be unnecessary, since it would be covered in the surf guiding sessions for the one-star courses anyway. However, I did like the structure provided by the learn-to-surf courses, and it was helpful for meeting new people. So, in that respect, I think it might be worth the money for those considering it. I would say that the hostel is quite social and good for solo travelers. However, during my visit, there were a lot of German-speaking travelers (in the order of 80%), which made it a bit of a different experience compared to hostels I’ve stayed at in Europe and Asia. That said, there were many activities organized, and it was easy to meet people through yoga sessions, surfing, or the social events hosted by the camp. Dinners were typically very social, especially if you chose to sit at the larger tables. The rooms were excellent, and there were plenty of bathrooms available, so I never felt like there was an issue in terms of facilities."
Coral Beach Hotel
"The service attitude is good, the room facilities are average, and there are cockroaches. It is right by the sea, and there is a delicious Chinese restaurant nearby. The hotel's restaurant and bar are also good, and it is very comfortable to drink beer while enjoying the sea breeze"
Mandara Resort Mirissa
"Nice hotel with sea room. Food good. Nice staff. Front desk officer Ms Maheshi is very helpful and friendly. Thank you for your hospitality."
