Oh my goodness, where do I start with this place? It’s a filthy overpriced place to sleep - if there is nothing else available. It’s nothing more than a hostel at best. In fact I stayed in a much nicer and cleaner hostel during a school trip in 1992. This ‘Hotel’ is smelly - a mixture of sweaty people, takeaway food and damp. It’s filthy dirty and very noisy! The rooms initially looked ok but when you actually looked properly are absolutely filthy. I had hair in my bed as well as a blood stain on the sheet. The bathroom was cold and stunk of damp. Some of the girls I was with had bites the next day. I guess from bed bugs?

In fact I stayed in a much nicer hostel during a school trip in 1992. This ‘Hotel’ is smelly, dirty and very noisy! The rooms initially looked ok but are absolutely filthy. Booked to stay at The Fairmount Hotel for a friends birthday. Together we booked four rooms. This is not a hotel… this is a hostel! We didn’t actually stay the night as we found hundreds of BED BUGS in two of the rooms. Thankfully we hadn’t even taken our bags into the rooms before we turned and left. Pictures make this place look ok. It really isn’t. Disgusting place! The thought of bed bugs fills me with dread. Couldn’t get out quick enough.

We stay in a lot of Hotels over the country. This was a cosy little hotel, very basic. Our room was small but had everything you need. A bit of updating needed. Beds were comfy. Staff were very friendly, a big shout out to Martin who was there to greet us, friendly, professional and polite. Close to beach and town centre.

Got in the room, was filthy and noticed the towels for all 6 of us were covered in poo stains. Asked for new towels and was told I’d have to pay for them. Showed him the towels and said would you be happy with that? He got new towels. The new ones also had stains! AVOID.

At first glance, the room looks nice. However, there was mould in the bathroom, and the lamp above the bathroom mirror was really mouldy and didn't work. Whoever used the room or cleaned the room before left a used tampon in the bathroom bin, which was unpleasant. Also no bathroom mats for stepping out of the shower or hand towels. I stored my clothes in a little cubbie hold next to the bed and when I put my shirt in the morning on there was grime and stains from something sticky on the wood. We paid for a double room, but it was just two single beds pushed together, making it difficult to sleep next to my partner as the beds moved in the night. We were above the smoking area and at half three there were a group of lads being very loud and being sick and no one from front desk went to ask them to be a bit more considerate. I understand its a party town on a Saturday but I'm sure there is suppose to be a low level noise policy after a certain time. On the positive side the beds were well made and comfy and the man at the front desk is always very polite and helpful.

A bad experience. Starting with the bathroom - it's too basic. Hand soap, and that's it. They don't even include a small bottle of shampoo or shower gel, a glass for your toothbrush, hand towels, or a floor mat to prevent it from getting wet after a shower. My room was on the third floor, and you have to let the hot water tap run for 10-15 minutes before it becomes warm, and even then, it has very low pressure. There are no bedside tables (at least in my room). They don't make the bed when they clean the room daily. They only change the towels (for showering, because they don't provide hand towels), and in my case, they were dirty. This is not the standard we're accustomed to for hotels at the same price point in Spain.
