I hate to give such a negative review but I feel duty bound to warn you about this "hotel!" On arrival the outside is worse than shabby, The street is dirty and downmarket the hotel needs extensive work on the facade, there was cigarette ends and sunflower seed shells and litter in and around the doorway. You have to ring a mobile number for the guy at reception to come from wherever to let you in and book you in and show you your room and the numbers you require for entry. His name is Collins and he was helpful, friendly and the best asset the hotel has. Do not look at the photos they were taken in the hotel's heyday Probably in the 70s or 80s. Everything in the public areas have been stripped bare leaving 4 or 5 assorted sofas, The bar is shuttered up and totally devoid of stock and the dining room is shut, no chef so no breakfast available .The place is now being used for African immigrants, the place smells of spicy cooking, I walked past 1 room that had an open door there was a family of 4 cooking in the room and although they were smiling and friendly it's not something you'd expect to see. I was in Bournemouth for an appointment on Friday 21st so I booked in for 2 nights and thankfully the weather was sunny so I stayed out all day and only used the room for sleeping. Now if you don't mind "dossing" on the cheap then okay but if you're expecting what's advertised then please avoid!!
