"New World hotel is truly a world class hotel. The hotel layout is huge and the hotel lobby leading to the lift lobby has mesmerising ceiling art not unlike Sistine Chapel.
Check in was quite swift. We met Ki Ki and she is indeed very kind, helpful and patient with us; going beyond extra miles in helping us navigating the city, booking cab, introducing good restaurants & even helping us to find & locate our ancestor's village by contacting the relevant association! I have to say she is a true gem in the hotel! Our heartfelt gratitude and appreciations go beyond words for her."

"We arrived in late evening and upon inquiring which restaurants were still open, the young gentlemen at front desk walked us over to some near the hotel. We didn't expect this and appreciate this distinction of service. Otherwise, we found front desk staff lacking in warmth. Breakfast was varied and tasty. Bus from Hong Kong dropped off directly in front of hotel so very convenient. Having stayed a several hotels in Taishan, Fairfield is the better in terms of quality and comfort, although at a higher price point."

"I visit Taishan 3 or 4 times a year during the last couple of years and Mandarin Elegant Hotel has been my go-to hotel most of time. The room and beds are very comfortable. I like the location. it is close to a mall with good selection of shops and restaurants; walking distance to the HK airport bus; buses to Kowloon departures from the hotel and it is about 15 mins ride to Taishan Station and the Taishan bus station. Stuff is very responsive for my issues. The most recent visit, a group of ten of my family member stayed at this hotel and everyone was very satisfied with the place."

"Easter trip with the family, stayed here after Kaiping rural historical villages and diaolou exploration. For some city time. Clean neat new hotel. Good Non smoking rooms.
Nice bathrooms, japanese style automatic toilets. Simple okay buffet breakfast, fresh coffee, mostly Chinese style breakfast. Our family had a good time. Booked a double for us and a twin room for the kids. There is a bit of a music bass noise in the evening due to next door night club. Was mentioned in the booking. No real problem for us. We enjoyed the giant modern Chain mall a short drive away for dinner and shopping. The old city centre is also good for meals and the sights."

"This time when I was traveling in Taishan, Jiangmen, I had a great experience staying at the City Comfort Inn Jiangmen Taishan Pedestrian Street! The location is excellent, just near the pedestrian street, it is very convenient to go shopping and find delicious food, and there are all kinds of shops around. The hotel room is clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable, and I slept very well at night, without dreams. The front desk staff is warm and thoughtful, the check-in and check-out are fast, and they also recommend local fun places. The price-performance ratio is super high, I will stay here next time I come here!"

"The hotel is relatively new as compared to some of the other ones in the neighborhood. The room we booked was nice and clean. Unfortunately, they don’t have a fridge in the room which is inconvenient. The breakfast included was plentiful but quality is mediocre. But, this is no complaints considering this used to be a rural area of Kaiping. There are a few variety stores in close proximity that you can get some fruits and drinks so that is good. Will stay there again next time."

"Hotel location is better to find, and there is a supporting underground parking lot, the location is quite a lot, more convenient. Although the room is close to the roadside, there is basically no sound of the car on the 5th floor. The environment of the room is good, clean and tidy. But what is incomprehensible is why I booked a parent-child room. The room was actually smoking and equipped with an ashtray. Fortunately, there was no smell of smoke in the room. The details page is also marked with play facilities (child tents, children's toys) and children's supplies (child bath towels, child face towels, children's slippers, children's toiletries), but after I checked in, I could see two sets of adult things. Call the front desk to ask if there are children's toiletries, etc., and the front desk also replied that it is not available. Finally, when I checked out, I asked the front desk and said that there were two parent-child theme rooms, and I had to make a note if needed. I booked this one with a mother-child bed. The laundry room has a wave wheel washing machine and a drum washing machine, and a dryer, which can be used at any time. Laundry liquid and softener are also provided. There is a supermarket on the first floor of the hotel and a restaurant on the third floor. It is very convenient to buy and eat. There is also a Qiaoxing breakfast shop nearby, and things are not bad. The hotel is generally good, and the price of more than 400 during the period of 5.1 is not too expensive."

KKatkanThe location is in a new development area. The environment is comfortable and hygienic. The disadvantage is that the toilet remote control for washing the buttocks cannot be used and cannot be adjusted to the right position. There will be renovation work in the morning and it will be noisy. The hotel has arranged ear plugs and it is strongly recommended to wear them before going to bed! The wifi network is not working and the mobile phone signal is weak! Everything else is very satisfying

GGuest UserThis is my second stay. Overall, I feel that it is still very cost-effective. I have stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Taishan. Although it is very good, it is also expensive. I have stayed at a very ordinary hotel, which is cheap but feels average. I have also stayed at a homestay apartment, which is good in all aspects except that there is no service and no breakfast.
So this one should be more in line with our requirements. The breakfast is still rich and varied, and there is also a free midnight snack. The staff is still very enthusiastic.

HHuangI reserved the 2-bed Room and it looks like this building was built as an apartment. This unit was two levels, which they split the lower level as a hotel room and the upper level as a short term apartment rental. Fortunately it was not occupied. Could have been noisy. Noise from the hallway was already a little too much. One last complaint was the toilet being in the shower room. Very bad setup.
However I might stay here again just for the breakfast. It was included in my room booking. Very good varieties and tasty! Front desk girl is very hard working and courteous. Thanks for your help!

AAnonymous UserWhen I first booked the room, I was worried that the homestay would be worn out because of the long time. I didn't expect to have a surprise after reaching it! The village is very quiet, the small yard of the homestay feels very comfortable and warm, we immediately decided to book one more night! The store family is very good to promise to leave it to us as soon as someone unsubscribes! (Like the lively, crowded suggestions to move to the isolation village)
Many restaurants are closed for rest during the New Year. Haocai stores are willing to borrow the kitchen for us and decisively go to the market to buy seafood and cook it! In the evening, I also shared dinner and talked about life together, haha 😂

It was really heartwarming to make an appointment for free pick-up at the front desk after booking. The Chinese restaurant on the second floor also has Taishan yellow eel rice, plus the business buffet breakfast is very cost-effective.

Ssofia chanIt is a bit far from restaurants. You will have to drive. It has table tennis which you are allowed to play for an hour each day. Breakfast has some variety, however they do not change their menu in our 3 nights there. It is an older hotel but clean and comfortable. Views of the rice farm are incredible from our room. Reception do not speak English.

I thought it was just convenient transportation, but I didn't expect there was a coffee shop downstairs, and it took 5 minutes to walk to the city night view check-in point.

GGuest UserThe room is very big, the bathroom and the shower room are separate, very clean, it is recommended to put an extra trash can in the bathroom, the king-size bed room has a balcony with a small hot spring pool, very cost-effective! The room has a meal delivery service, you can have a midnight snack at any time, the service ladies at the front desk are very patient, and you can arrange to fill the hot spring pool in advance, so that you can soak in the hot spring as soon as you put down your luggage and wash away all the fatigue!
This is my third independent vacation in Kangqiao. The air is fresh. I like the tranquility of Kangqiao and the intact ecological environment. If the city is noisy and the heart is tired, just find Kangqiao!
