Danjiangkou Hotels with Breakfast

Run by a very friendly young couple! I came from wudang west station, took a bus to the wudang scenic spot and the owner came to pick me from the bus station right outside wudang scenic spot. It's about a 2 min drive to the property. Location is very good, love that it is so near the wudang mountain scenic spot. There's a small staircase about 20m from the property that leads you all the way up to the scenic spot parking area. If you wanna pop by their 'city area', it's about a 15min walk to the walking street. Definitely recommend!

I loved saying here. The homestay is located within the scenic area. It can be hard to navigate the area if you’re coming here for the first time. I got dropped off at a station after I showed the driver the address and walked uphill for 20-30 minutes before I was able to find the homestay. I recommend getting in touch with the homestay beforehand to arrange a pickup from the bus point since buses don’t drop you all the way to the homestay. There is free service for pick up and drop off to/from the bus station. The food here was spectacular - simple and delicious. The people who work here are super considerate and welcoming. The homestay also partners with Wudang Taoist Academy which I later found out so I might be back to participate in one of the programs later on however if you are traveling to Wudang and also looking for classes in Tai Chi from well established instructors, this is definitely the place to be. The person who runs it is well-connected and can help you out with whatever you need. I was mostly communicating via WeChat which translated English-Chinese and vice versa easily. If you want to explore other areas within Wudang, you most definitely will be needing the shuttle bus. I am very satisfied with my stay and will return if I get an opportunity.

Yun Wai Mountain Residence is highly recommended. The hotel is located at the Qiongtai Scenic Spot, approximately 300 meters from the base of the cable car and 50 meters from the bus stop, at an altitude of nearly 1000 meters. This is an ideal location for exploring Wudangshan. The staff is exceptionally friendly and very helpful. I was repeatedly and pleasantly surprised by how much everyone cared for a foreigner without any knowledge of Chinese. The hotel's restaurant offers local and Taoist specialties. The food is excellent. The atmosphere is elegant and meditative. The rooms are spacious with fantastic mountain views. I felt very comfortable for a week – nothing was lacking. Bonus: the five cats also take excellent care of the guests, especially during nighttime strolls. Note: you must take the last bus to the cable car (Qiongtai) at 5 pm, otherwise you will remain in the valley (no exceptions).

This hotel/retreat is an incredibly special place, and I feel so grateful to have come across it in my travels, as it will hold a special place in my memory! I have a strong feeling that I will be back (possibly many times!) in the future. I cannot say enough good things about it, whether it be the beautiful architectural design of the buildings and landscaping of the property, the gorgeous cafe, the zen-like room aesthetic, the calm and nourishing atmosphere of the whole place, the incredibly kind staff, and the nourishing and delicious food (which is made with great attention and care paid to the ingredients (most of which are grown on the farm), and their healing principles according to the elements and Chinese medicine nutrition)). There are free evening healing offerings too, including sound healing, card reading, and other thing, which bring guests together to experience collectively as well, in a beautiful retreat center room. The cafe/lobby building is such a pretty and welcoming space, one could easily spend hours enjoying a conversation or reading a book, or petting one of the many adorable cats that roam the property. Even walking along the meandering path to the hotel from the main road is a beautiful experience, winding through tea fields in this magical valley at the base of steep mountains surrounding it. I have stayed at a number of hotels in China during my travels, but this place is by far my favorite of all of them, for its authentic feel and heartfelt warmth. It truly is a uniquely powerful place for healing and restoration, nestled in such a picturesque, quiet hillside of Wudang mountain!!

The front desk service was warm and thoughtful, inform us in advance of the location of the homestay! After getting off the Jingjiao car, walk 150 meters to arrive, close to the Zixiao Palace/Nanyan Palace faucet fragrance! The environment of the homestay is very good, the mountains are like Dai, the natural oxygen bar, the landscape courtyard! The time you can forget to live here is very leisurely and relaxed. If you don't have other things, you have to stay for a few more days! Drinking tea leisurely in the homestay, looking at the mountains in the distance and the clouds reflected in the water, and coming back with a fairy spirit, maybe it will become a fairy, haha! The room is Chinese style, exquisite and elegant, air-conditioned hot water, tea set, small refrigerator, smart toilet, comfortable living, tea room and multi-function hall you can also use for free. There is also a restaurant, you can sit in the yard and watch the scenery and eat, especially enjoy! Recommend to everyone, welcome to punch in!

The owner was very warm and friendly, helping us upgrade our room and providing hiking poles. The hotel's food service seems to be outsourced, but the quality and portion sizes are definitely worth it. Breakfast can be delivered to your room. The hotel's location is excellent, right opposite the bus stop down the mountain. There's a swing terrace at the entrance where you can watch the sunrise. It was my child's first time seeing a sunrise, and we also got to see a sky full of stars, which was wonderful.

Finally got to Wudang Mountain for some much-needed relaxation! This hotel truly exceeded my expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The hotel's ambiance is fantastic, especially the large terrace – the view is breathtaking. On a clear day, seeing the distant mountains and sea of clouds instantly brings a sense of peace. The room itself is designed in a new Chinese style, with thoughtful details, and the bathroom looks very high-quality; it was a really comfortable stay. Beyond the beautiful scenery, the overall experience was top-notch! In the afternoon, there's complimentary Shenshi tea, perfect for sitting down, sipping tea, and chatting – so pleasant. Breakfast was also delicious, with a rich variety of fresh options that left me feeling energized. You can also catch the sunset over at Nanyan Palace. The biggest surprise was the free Tai Chi class! Practicing Tai Chi with the instructor on the terrace in the evening, with the sky above and mountain breeze, was incredibly therapeutic. The instructor was very professional and responsible, correcting postures hand-in-hand and patiently guiding us, so even beginners could quickly pick it up. The service throughout was superb, making us feel completely at home. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Wudang Mountain!

The location is fantastic, just a one-minute walk to the right from the cable car's upper exit. It's incredibly convenient for watching the sunrise. You can easily catch it from the hotel, next to the tea house, or from the viewing platform which is just a 10-minute walk away. The hotel even provides the sunrise times and recommended departure times. Breakfast and lunch are both available, so you'll have something to eat when you get back. The front desk staff are meticulous, providing timely tips and quickly resolving any issues. The owner is incredibly warm and thoughtful, both practical and meticulous, yet so welcoming 🌹. The environment is fantastic, perfect for a family trip. The butler service is excellent, and the food is incredibly delicious, they even deliver it to your room, which is a big plus. The cleanliness is top-notch, making for a very comfortable stay. Plus, it's pet-friendly, which is awesome!

The location is very convenient, close to Yuxu Palace and the museum, and the surrounding area is not noisy. Facilities: The facilities are relatively old, the windows cannot be closed, and the window screens are useless when they are barely closed. The air conditioner rumbles like a tractor all night, and the air outlet is broken. It blows towards the bed, which makes your mouth dry. Several rooms are like this. Hygiene: The bathroom may have just been cleaned, it is full of water. As soon as you enter, the whole room smells of betel nut. Service: Checked in at night, came on the second day of the Chinese New Year, maybe there were too many people, and there was no room to change. The front desk said to find someone to repair the window, but it didn't come. Even more bottles of water were not given.
