MaggieWolframThe room offers an excellent view, directly overlooking the most beautiful part of Lugu Lake, perfect for taking amazing photos with afternoon tea. The guesthouse has three 20kW Nio charging stations, which are free to use. It took me four and a half hours to drive here from Shangri-La, and my car battery was running low. Being able to fully charge here meant I could comfortably reach the battery swap station near the highway to Kunming. The amenities were superb, far exceeding many high-end Hyatt and Marriott chain brands. Although I didn't stay at the Design Hotels across the way, I'm confident this place is better. They even offer free laundry service (not self-service), which significantly relieved a major worry for long-distance travelers.

Anonymous UserLocation of the hotel is perfect for anyone visiting lugu lake. Imagine waking up to the view of the lake and mountains.
The hotel is also fairly new with beautiful deco and they have prepared many thoughtful things include disposable towels, disposable bath tub towel, free daily afternoon tea and a short photoshoot. The front desk staff 阿文was also very helpful.
A couple of things I wished went better:
- breakfast: selection was quite limited and mainly Chinese food. Was not an issue for me as I typically don’t take breakfast.
- limited toilet paper: unfortunately my husband and I were down with food poisoning during the trip so the toilet paper quickly became a scarcity.
- inconsistent temperature in the shower: the shower on my first night toggled between icy cold and steamy hot even without me adjusting the temperature. Overheard from other guests that they had the same issue as well. The hotel thankfully was able to fix it on my second night.
- mattress was too hard, and it felt like I was sleeping directly on the floor… unfortunately the hotel didn’t have an option to add on a topper and it really affected my sleep quality during the two nights we were there. However, preference for a softer mattress is personal. Would have been nice if the hotel has toppers prepared for guests who prefer a softer bed.
Overall, it was still a pleasant experience and I’d recommend for anyone visiting lugu lake.

Guest UserThis stay was such a pleasant surprise, I absolutely have to leave a glowing review! From the moment I walked in, I felt the staff's genuine kindness. The front desk was patient and thorough during check-in, answering all my questions gently. Any staff member I passed in the hallways would greet me warmly. I had a small request during my stay, and they responded incredibly fast, handling it with meticulous care and thoughtfulness, without a hint of perfunctoriness. Their enthusiasm was perfectly balanced, making me feel completely at ease, like I was coming home. The service truly was impeccable.
The room was spotless in every corner, the bedding was soft and fresh, and the bathroom had no strange odors. It's clear the hotel puts a lot of effort into cleanliness.
The hotel's overall ambiance is elegant and serene, with comfortable and tasteful decor. It's quiet and peaceful, and the soundproofing is excellent. The attentive service was definitely the biggest highlight of this trip. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in town, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!

Seriously, this place deserves more than 6 stars! ⭐️ This trip was full of delightful surprises.
Hidden halfway up the mountain, it's incredibly private and tranquil.
Service: Our dedicated butler, Yang Yang, was available 24/7. Any request was met with lightning-fast responses and incredibly efficient problem-solving. No excuses or hassles whatsoever. All reasonable requests were fulfilled immediately. She was warm, attentive, and felt just like a friend.
We had private car service up and down the mountain the entire time, making getting around completely stress-free. The room design was stunning, with a sophisticated Wabi-sabi aesthetic that was perfect for photos. The facilities were refined and comfortable, and the bedding was soft and skin-friendly – just lying down was therapeutic. Opening the window revealed beautiful lake and mountain views; the whole experience was just fantastic!
The hotel environment is superb, clearly showing meticulous and thoughtful management.
The breakfast was also delicious, and the hotel activities were plentiful. The staff ladies were so gentle and kind; my child absolutely loved them. Although the price is on the higher side, it's genuinely worth every penny. It's already on my 'must-return' list! 💯

The hotel is right on the shores of Lugu Lake, with beautiful views from the large bay windows. Waking up to the sound of birdsong and the fragrance of flowers is truly relaxing! The owner is very kind, offering electric car pick-up and drop-off whenever you need to go out, and the breakfast is plentiful. There's also a chubby Border Collie, who's very friendly. This is a gem of a hotel not to be missed!

Anxia Mountain & Lake Resort, Lugu Lake: A Healing Utopia Hidden in the Lake's Embrace
What surprised me most about this trip to Lugu Lake wasn't the scenery, but the Anxia Mountain & Lake Resort, which I booked by chance. A 'transitional option' at just 193 yuan a night for a mist and lake view king room, it unexpectedly became the most heartwarming anchor point of my entire trip, truly helping me understand the slow pace and beauty of Lugu Lake.
I arrived at the hotel in the early hours of the morning. As the car drove into the narrow lanes of Luoshui Shang Village, the outside noise gradually faded, leaving only the gentle lapping of the lake against the shore. The hotel's exterior exuded a minimalist, forest-like quality, devoid of overly commercialized, flashy designs. Instead, it felt like a small courtyard nestled between the lake and mountains, quiet and relaxing. During check-in, the staff's warmth instantly melted away my travel fatigue. There was no rigid, formalized service; instead, they greeted me with the familiarity of an old friend, offered local herbal tea, and even shared the best spot to watch the sunrise the next day. They thoughtfully marked out lesser-known walking trails nearby – every detail spoke of genuine care.
Pushing open the room door, I was immediately stunned by the view. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling window directly faced Lugu Lake, the water like a crumpled sapphire. Gamu Goddess Mountain shimmered in and out of view amidst the mist, and the evening glow painted the lake surface a warm orange, with even the wind carrying the crisp scent of the lake. The room's decor was simple yet tasteful, with natural wood furniture paired with soft, warm lighting. There was no superfluous decoration, yet thoughtfulness was evident everywhere: the soft mattress and bedding felt like sinking into clouds, and there were even both soft and firm pillows to choose from. The dry/wet separated bathroom was clean and tidy, and the toiletries had a faint herbal scent, leaving me completely relaxed after a shower. The table thoughtfully provided bottled water and local specialty snacks, and even a humidifier was pre-arranged, perfectly addressing the issue of the high-altitude dryness.
But the most healing part was the morning. I was awakened at dawn by sounds from outside the window. Drawing back the curtains, I saw the morning mist gently drifting across the lake like a veil, with distant islands appearing and disappearing within it. A pig trough boat slowly glided by, leaving a gentle ripple. I sat in the chair by the window, watching the sun slowly pierce through the clouds, painting the mist golden. My breathing slowed, and in that moment, all my anxieties were swept away by the lake breeze.
atorial advantage, the hotel's location was also exceptionally convenient. Just a few steps out the door led to the lakeside path, where the gentle smoke from cooking fires curled up from distant Mosuo villages, full of everyday life. The hotel's common areas were also very comfortable, with a terrace perfect for relaxing. Sitting there, soaking up the sun and sipping tea, one could easily spend an entire afternoon.
Compared to those thousand-yuan-plus 'influencer' hotels around Lugu Lake, Anxia Mountain & Lake, without excessive marketing, gave me a perfect surprise with its genuine experience. It doesn't rely on flashy gimmicks, but rather uses clean rooms, attentive service, and breathtaking lake views to allow every guest to feel the gentle embrace of Lugu Lake.
After this trip, my friend and I agreed that next time we visit Lugu Lake, we must stay here again. It's like a utopia hidden in the lake's light – not noisy, not deliberate, yet it welcomes every distant traveler with the most relaxed demeanor. If you're looking for a place to find peace in Lugu Lake, Anxia Mountain & Lake will definitely not disappoint.

Renee C.I had a wonderful stay at 慕鱼, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone visiting Lugu Lake.
The hotel is tastefully designed, with every corner beautifully decorated and thoughtfully curated. I was pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade to a lake-view room, and the room cleanliness was absolutely top-notch.
The view is truly stunning — there is an unobstructed, direct view of Lugu Lake, and 蒗放码头 is located right in front of the hotel, making the location incredibly convenient. At night, I could see a sky full of stars directly from my room, which felt truly magical.
Every detail in the room felt well considered and intentional. The room was also very comfortable in winter, with floor heating and a Dyson hair dryer, which made a huge difference during the colder days.
During afternoon tea time, the hotel served a lovely afternoon tea set, and sitting in the backyard while enjoying the lake view became one of the most relaxing and memorable moments of my entire trip.
Upon checkout, the staff thoughtfully prepared breakfast to go and gifted me some souvenirs, which was a very warm and touching gesture. They also helped recommend a reliable driver who took me back to Dali in a comfortable 9-seater car, making the journey smooth and stress-free.
The owner is a beautiful and kind lady, and her dog Lucky, an adorable corgi, is an absolute delight. The staff were all genuinely friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout my stay.
Overall, 慕鱼 offers beautiful design, breathtaking views, thoughtful service, and a truly relaxing experience. I would absolutely love to return.

ARABELLA Lugu Lake Manor, my honest review!
The lake-view room I booked was absolutely worth it! Perched on top of a hill, the decor is simple yet elegant, and the room features smart controls. On a clear day, I could lie in bed and enjoy the serene views of Lugu Lake – it was incredibly therapeutic.
The breakfast was also great, with a good variety of dishes that were all beautifully presented and refined.
The hotel's restaurant and public areas are stunning, perfect for taking photos.
The staff were exceptionally warm and attentive, and the complimentary pick-up and drop-off service made everything so much easier.
Definitely a highly recommended place to stay when visiting Lugu Lake!

This is the most comfortable homestay I have stayed in during my one-week trip to Yunnan. The decoration is fresh and simple, the room is large, clean and sanitary, and there is a terrace. You can watch the sunrise in the morning and the stars on the terrace at night. It is really comfortable. The boss and his son are very enthusiastic. The uncle also took time to take us around Lugu Lake, especially to Goddess Bay to watch the sunset, and took the Goddess Mountain Cableway. It is really super beautiful to overlook Lugu Lake from the top of the mountain. It is really a super happy travel experience.

The hotel is located on the lakeside not far from the lake area. The balcony faces southeast. We arrived in the afternoon and saw the beautiful scenery of Lugu Lake. Lugu Lake is quiet and beautiful, just like this hotel and the hostess of the hotel. A girl, enthusiastic and sincere. We thought that afternoon tea was just a cup of tea and a few biscuits. But they had 4 kinds of fruits, French fries and chicken nuggets, and the tea was also a local specialty flower tea. It was very attentive at first glance. There were also desserts in the evening. The rice noodles for her breakfast were much better than those in most restaurants. The hotel is clean, well-equipped, and the hot water in the bathtub is sufficient. It adds a lot of color to the trip to Lugu Lake. I look forward to going there again next time.
