Konstanz Hotels with Breakfast

Das Riva ist für uns schon viele Jahre ein Domizil für sehr gehobene Familienereignisse. Keine großen natürlich das könnten wir uns nicht leisten aber für die besonderen. So auch dieses Mal. Ein runder Geburtstag. Wir waren zu viert. Sehr angenehmer Atmosphäre, zuvorkommende Service traumhafte Lage. Ich hab nicht mal das Spa benutzt, weil wir nur von Samstag auf Sonntag da waren meine Tochter jedoch schon, die war begeistert. Das Abendessen war auch sehr fein. Ich habe vegan gegessen das war gut. Die anderen von Fisch über Fleisch zu Gemüse alles. Das Haus ist seinen Preis wert, aber man muss es sich leisten können und wollen.

No baby bed was offered to us. Given the bed configuration in the room (two single beds pushed together), getting a baby to sleep isn't exactly easy. The beds, moreover, have mattresses that are too soft, and I think they're actually filled with water, which, beyond comfort, could be recommended. The bathroom doesn't have a door, so there's no room for privacy...

A good hotel with water theme, open-air sofa bar and parking lot, not far from McDonald's and Menau Island, suitable as a temporary break for the second day of the island trip The hotel has different promotions every day, mostly related to bars or restaurants. Come and see if you need it.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit, alles war Bestens! Es gibt kostenlosen Kaffee im Eingangsbereich und was man sonst noch so alles braucht. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter und entspannendes Vogelgezwitscher im öffentlichen Bereich, das Zimmer hat u.a. einen Safe, einen Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle, Kaffeemaschine, eine riesige Dusche und sogar einen Hängesessel, tolles Konzept mit bunten Farben! Bett ist sehr gemütlich. Gratis Bügeleisen im Keller vorhanden, Waschmaschine gegen Gebühr. 5 Minuten zu Fuß befindet sich die Bushaltestelle, Bus Nummer 6 bringt einen in ca. 20-25 Minuten ins Zentrum - an der Rezeption bekamen wir auf Nachfragen sogar ein gratis Bodensee-Ticket für unsere Aufenthaltszeit mit kostenlosem öffentlichen Transport plus Vergünstigung bei Eintritten wie Museum etc.

We booked Superior rooms, but the room did not like (Dark, next to the lift). For a de luxury room we had to pay €88 per night. The room was bright and had a beautiful view of the Rhine. The hotel room was clean and comfortable, but the staff at the reception was not professional and arrogant. At breakfast the staff was completely overloaded.We had to wait 30 minutes for a cappuccino. Overall, staff do not meet the expectations of a 4-star hotel.

Die Lage des Hotels ist wirklich ausgezeichnet. Direkt in der Stadt, besser geht es eigentlich nicht. Das Personal ist durchweg äußerst freundlich. Bei Problemen wurde direkt nach Lösungen gesucht und weitergeholfen. Der Service an der Rezeption war sehr gut. Verbessern könnte man auf jeden Fall den Service beim Frühstück. Hier wurden zB die Tische nicht abgeräumt. Lediglich als die Frühstückszeit zu Ende war, kamen das Personal mit einem Wagen und räumte alle Tische auf einmal ab. Also auch wenn man einen zweiten Kaffee serviert bekam, blieben meist die leeren Tassen auf dem Tisch stehen. Deshalb sollte hier das Personal nochmals geschult werden. Es gab aber immer ausreichend Platz zum sitzen. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer hat schon bessere Zeiten gehabt ;-) Wie eine Dame an der Rezeption sagte, wird aber nach und nach renoviert. Fazit: Für einen Kurzurlaub geeignet, wenn man keine allzu hohe Erwartungen hat. In ein renoviertes Zimmer würde ich jederzeit wieder gehen.

In its favour, the hotel is extremely well situated, a couple of minutes from the train station and 3 minutes from the centre. It’s clean and modern. Part from that, nothing special. Rather unfriendly.  Average breakfast. No kettle to make  tea and coffee in the bedroom. Snacks and drinks in the minibar overpriced.

The triple room, like a suite, has a large bed (two quilts), and the sofa in the living room has turned into a double bed. This trip is a cheap hotel, there are shopping malls, Burger King, Chinese food, etc. nearby. The breakfast is also good. Free parking. The location of the hotel is not in the busy district, and the old city is separated by a bridge. In the past few minutes by car, you need to pay for parking in the city. The price is about five euros for three hours. The urban area is nothing special. It's okay to pass the stop on the way.

The Hotel is one of those self-check in types, without a reception. We hadn’t received the code at all, so we had to phone the service number. Person on the phone was good and gave us the code. Very comfortable bed and large room, excellent for the price we paid. In a pretty quiet area surrounded by office buildings, and business parking. Very close to Train station, but not too much around. Cons: Could have been a little bit cleaner, there was hair in the shower drain for example, and a few things didn’t work: a lamp, heated towel rail, the shower door was also missing.
