Yogyakarta Hotels with Breakfast

We love the location of this Hotel. Easy to walk to the nearest shopping areas. Breakfast spread is good although this is within the fasting period. Only one small comment is the Bathing room is very slippery when showering. I slipped and fall while bathing, lucky that I didn't knock on to the glass panel or the wall. Suggest to have bathing mat at the showering point. Overall for my friends and I are very satisfy with the stay at Harper Hotel.

I stayed for 2 nights. On the first night, the room looked good and clean when I checked in. However, cockroaches started appearing that night. They were still there the next day, even after I reported it and they sprayed insect killer. Eventually, I asked to switch rooms that night because I was so disgusted. They responded immediately and moved me, even upgrading my room. But I'm still traumatized by the cockroaches crawling around last night, and it wasn't just one, I saw three! 😭😭 As for breakfast, I didn't find it very tasty, though the variety was decent. The shower area isn't enclosed, so the floor is always wet and uncomfortable. There was one female restaurant staff member on the rooftop who wasn't great. Also, because non-hotel guests can dine there, the parking and rooftop restaurant get full from outside visitors, which was a bit uncomfortable. I hope they make some improvements.

There was a bit of a mix-up when I first arrived at the hotel. The doorman took my luggage out of the car, and I was still inside getting my wallet to pay the driver. When I got out, I couldn't find my suitcase and even asked the driver about it, only to realize it had already been put on a luggage cart for me. Check-in was quite fast, and because I'd left my charger in Jakarta, I asked the front desk where I could buy one. The staff member was very helpful, telling me where to go and even mentioning a small shop nearby if I was in a hurry. He even kindly escorted me there.

Excellent service given by all staff of hotel. We had an experience where my sister had left her gold ring in the hotel room. They acted immediately when we Whatsapp and hand over the gold ring when we returned back to the hotel. Their services are exceptional very good

My experience at ARTOTEL Yogyakarta is truly impressive — the digital art installations at the reception area, well chosen art sculptures and paintings, the warm staff greetings, the scent, the atmosphere, the design, and the overall hospitality felt like a real piece of modern art. It sets very high standards for the ARTOTEL chain.

Location: Right off Malioboro Street. It's super convenient, just a short walk to Malioboro Center and the TransJogja bus stop, and about a 10-minute walk to Yogyakarta Station. The street in front of the hotel is quite narrow and gets busy with people, cars, and motorbikes, so walking can be a bit challenging. Room: The room wasn't spacious, but it was clean, and everything I needed was compactly arranged. My room didn't have a window, so it would have been much better if it were a bit brighter. The toilet and shower were in separate cubicles. The air conditioning was very effective; I came back tired from the heat outside, left it on, fell asleep, and ended up catching a cold! Breakfast: The buffet mainly featured Indonesian dishes, and it was delicious. You could choose to eat in the courtyard or indoors. The courtyard seemed to be more popular. I'd love to stay here again if I have the chance.

The hotel is located on a small street, not too far from the train station, but the distance is awkward – a bit too far to walk comfortably, and taking a taxi can be a nightmare due to traffic (it took 30 minutes by taxi at 8 PM). When we were leaving Yogyakarta, it was incredibly difficult to get a taxi from the hotel; we had to wait about 20 minutes each time, and eventually ended up taking two trishaws. The room felt like an old house that had been given a quick paint job. The bathroom was quite basic, especially the shower area, which was tiny and had no door, so water sprayed everywhere, leaving the floor soaking wet. However, I'd give the service five stars. The room was cleaned thoroughly and meticulously, and the front desk staff were all very warm and responsible. The hotel breakfast was quite rich with a good variety, but it was all Indonesian style, which might not suit a Chinese palate.

Read reviews and decided to take wife. Great Value, Breakfast was great, lots of Local options for this BULE to try. And enjoyed. Pool is great. Room cleaning everyday. We had a great time...Big Thank you to the Guys out the Front. Brilliant Service. Will be back.. Thank You

This is amazing hotel for its price. First of all, the room is sufficiently big. The bed is comfy, and you got 4 pillows. Amenities are complete. You even got the premium glass water bottle. The room and hotel style is matching the Keraton style, so you got the Yogyakarta vibe upon staying , and this is very nice. The TV is loaded with Netflix, HBO, Prime, Disney+, and other local channels. Cabinet is surprisingly clean, despite its classic retro style looks. The hotel is right downtown, so it is near to go amywhere. Next to it there is a cafe, so I can get coffee and cake with ease. Plenty food to select on gofood nearby the hotel. It has car park. The hotel doesn’t have so many rooms, so it felt like very private, quiet, and comfortable. The best part is their staffs’ warm welcome and high quality service level. When I book the hotel, I made a mistake regarding the date (I think the app automatically changed to next week if I am booking it next day or something). So I ended up book for the following week. The app said this hotel is non-refundable and cannot adjust the check in time. I contacted the hotel directly and they are EXTREMELY nice and very accommodating. Despite the rules of non changing from the platform, they bypass the system and allow me to change to the date I plan to visit. So far, I only encounter this level of flexibility and assistance only when I was staying in a high end 5-stars hotel. Therefore, big thumbs up for the hotel management! 👍👍👍

Very close to Yogyakarta train station and Malioboro. Breakfast is good. The room is very tiny so no space for big luggages. The worst thing is the room doesn't have soundproofing so we can hear the train sound all night (& all day) and the street & vehicles noises outside. I stayed for 2 nights and as a light sleeper I could not sleep for the whole 2 nights due to the outside noises.
