Hatsukaichi Hotels with Breakfast

Our stay at Hotel Kikunoya on Miyajima was hands-down one of the best ryokan/hot spring hotel experiences we’ve ever had! We arrived at this beautifully renovated, fully equipped property and were immediately greeted by incredibly warm and friendly staff. Our room was spotlessly clean, surprisingly spacious, and very comfortable. The meals were absolutely delicious—fresh, seasonal, and beautifully presented. They offer a thoughtful pick-up service between the Miyajima pier and the hotel, which made arrival and departure so easy. The highlight was celebrating my birthday during dinner. The staff surprised me by gathering around our table, singing “Happy Birthday,” and presenting a sweet little souvenir gift. It felt so heartfelt and made us feel truly at home during our entire stay. I can’t recommend Hotel Kikunoya (菊乃家) highly enough to anyone visiting Miyajima—whether you’re looking for stunning views, excellent onsen facilities, or just genuine Japanese hospitality. There is a minibus transfer at the ferry. The hotel is at the entrance of Hongye Valley Park. There is a creek courtyard at the door. Next door is the free bus to the park cable car. It only takes 3 minutes to walk to Yandao Dashe. It is too suitable for the elderly and the children. The hotel has a long history and the walls are full of celebrities visiting photos. You can also meet deer when you soak in the hot springs. The staff is warm and English is ok, and the guests are mostly foreigners and elderly. Don't worry about staying and not stepping on thunder~ Be careful not to wear a bathrobe to Yandao Dashe!

Although the hotel is a bit old, the service is really good. The hotel is a bit away from the pier. Fortunately, there is a shuttle bus, which is available in the morning and evening, which is very convenient. The room was clean and the socket was less, and it would be better to have an exhaust fan in the bathroom. I booked breakfast and dinner. I can say that the meal is worth the price. It is definitely incomparable with a good hotel. Overall, the price/performance ratio is still very good.

The hotel can provide free delivery service! Be sure to contact the hotel in advance! The hotel is also quite far from the pier, and there is a flight of stairs to get there, but because of this, the room can see the big torii! One night and two meals are good, and the hot spring private bath is also good! When you leave, you can store your luggage, and then go to the pier to play, and ask the tourist center at the pier to call the hotel and ask them to send your luggage to the pier, free of charge!

Tiny bit far from the ferry pier with luggage (~20-25 min walk), but worth it when you arrive. Cozy, intimate layout, lovely set of toiletries, and SUCH a comfortable futon and set of sheets - slept like a baby! Best of all, woke up to probably the most luxurious, beautiful breakfast of my life. Staff is so friendly and extremely helpful!

Am Anfang dachte ich ist ja echt teuer, aber ich war ja alleine und hatte mir eine alt japanisches Zimmer gebucht. Als in an kam war alles so schön, von der Lobby dem Restaurant und vor allem dem Zimmer. Besser als ich es mir erhofft hatte. Und dann kamen wir zum Dinner, glaube so vielseitig und Luxuriöse hab ich lang nicht mehr gegessen. Es waren glaube 7 Gänge mit Apperativ und Dessert. Man musste zwar wenn man was anderes als Wasser und Tee wollte es bestellen und beim Checkout bezahlen. Aber meiner Meinung nach zu gerechten Preisen. Das Frühstück war nicht ganz so meins aber ich war eh noch Recht satt vom Abendessen. Aber trotzdem war es auf jeden Fall sehr gut, es gab Reis und Miso soviel man wollte und dazu ein fest gelegtes essen. Frühstück auf Bild zusehen. Dinner nur als Karte da es immer nach gerecht wurde.

Except for the Japanese dinner, everything else is satisfactory! The hotel is a 6-7 minute walk to Itsukushima Shrine. Breakfast is a buffet and dinner is Kaiseki cuisine. From the appetizer to the dessert, everything is not delicious! I have stayed in at least five or six Japanese traditional hot spring hotels with breakfast and dinner. This one has the worst dinner. The hot spring facilities are also very old!

A nice but not great Ryoukan This was a harder resort to measure, luggage drop off was awkward and the decor is not to the cleanliness id like That said this ryoukan is on a small island so perhaps its to standard. What i can say is the room was large enough and the facilities included free yukata rentals, ramen at night and the Onsen view was perfect. Location wise you are an 8 minute walk to the Torii Shrine but its a small island so wherever you book you wont be far from it. I think with a refresh of the decor this could go from good to great But dont expect spotless levels of clean.

スタッフさんが皆さん笑顔で対応がとても感じが良かったです ペットと一緒に泊まれるホテルという事を見逃していたのですが、特にペットの臭いがする事もなかったです お部屋に付いているお風呂は好きな時間に入れてとても良かったです
