"Would recommend it worth the price. Very central location, close to the main road and beach. The room was very spacious and clean. There was an issue with the water pressure at the beginning, but they sorted out in a couple of hours. The rooftop terrace is nice, the pool is not that big, and it was a bit dirty. Breakfast included is only one choice out of 4 dishes but tasty."

"Clean pleasant hotel, but far from civilization, minutes 20-25 to the tourist street, next there is a laundry market. In the room there is no teapot, only at the bottom, water does not give, also the couler at the bottom general, the tug in the room also wasn't, in general it was normal, but the doors are very loudly shut down and the neighbors very often clapped inreally loud on the evenings of 2 days of 9 so I wanted Move, and so in principle it is normal"

"Great value for money. Room was clean and new with everything we wanted to have. Hotel has a rooftop pool but we didnt use it. Hotel is very close to the playa beach and to the playa main street with all the bars and restaurants as well as close to an Oxxo store. They even provided beach towels for us. Recommended for short budget stay"

Amazing
MMartin VerreaultIt was my third trip with my gf to this hotel and we loved it every single time. The food is amazing and the staff is incredibly kind, and the cocktails are diversified and delicious
The only suggestion I could make to make the experience even better would be a nice espresso/coffee machine experience. Generally speaking, when they make a latte/capuccino or any other type of speciality coffee the foam
Is not totally adequate and the milk used is a bit too sweet for Some reason. But this is just my personal preference! :)
I would recommend this hotel to everybody that want to enjoy a quiet/romantic time with his/her partner
GGuest UserAbba Suites is sweet! Great downtown location. Right in the middle of it all on 10 & 10...We stayed here a total of 10 nights on our month long family beach vacation.
The rooms were great...very nice and newer...full kitchen minus the oven which you dont really need on a trip to Mexico...seperate bedroom from living area which was nice for mommy and daddy 😄🙌. The absolute best rooftop swimming pool view...were we could watch sunrise & sunset!
The standout stars were Denise & Nevida! They are just great and made this stay extra special for us. Everytime we walked in the building they were so welcoming and helpful with any questions or suggestions we had. Honestly we could easily just talk and hang out with them. Nevida turns out to be very good at rubik cube solving and our 7 year old son took a liking to him right away and even with how busy he was he took the time to teach our son some super helpful tips and encouraged him to keep practicing the rubiks cube. Keep being Awesome you guys! See you again next time we are in Playa 😄👍
AAihotel done fixed their mistake from the website I booked. When we arrived they told us we need to pay extra tax & no bkft included. But we showed them the itinerary that we payed. Hotel( Guillermo ) initiatively solve the mistake for us, which is a very good move! Allow us to enjoy more in the beautiful trip.
Restaurant waiters are super kind and pay attention on their guests which is five star service we expected all the time. Thanks Walter giving us a wonderful experience.
Also the one who assisted us bring luggage downstairs in this morning, Axel was super detail oriented in service, perspected our needs!! He deserved more!
Thanks for those beautiful exp. your colleagues made our trips easy & enjoyable!
IIndhujaThe hotel location was really great. It's just one street away from a very lively and loud street, so the hotel is in a calm location during the day. However, at night, during the weekends it still gets noisy until 2 am. It's only a five minute walk to the beach which was full of sargassum the time we were there. The room was a good size in the bed was very comfortable. We also used the gym which was fairly equipped and the pool look good, although very narrow.
Our stay included breakfast, which was à la carte where you choose one main dish/person and 3 drinks (which only included black coffee, juice and tea). Not really worth it for a short stay in my opinion.
First day we had an issue with the breakfast order and the restaurant staff handled it poorly, but it was ultimately resolved with the reception staff, Alma, stepping in. I have to thank Alma for being so understanding and kind to us, every day during our day.
We also had an issue of missing some cash, and I think the manager handled it really well; the investigation, giving us the update, all of it.
GGuest UserGreat Stay at Riu Playacar
We enjoyed our stay at this clean, well-organized resort with spacious, quiet rooms (ours had no balcony, but it was fine). The minibar was a nice touch, and the bathroom was spotless.
Highlights:
✔ Food variety – Multiple à-la-carte restaurants (dinner reservations not needed) and buffets with good lunch/breakfast options.
✔beach – Plenty of sunbeds but no umberalla so bring your sunscreen, though pools get crowded les sunbeds.
✔ Access to sister hotels – Party lovers can visit Riu Tequila’s club nearby.
✔ Convenient location – Mini-market across the street, and Playa del Carmen (5th Ave) is just a 150-peso taxi ride away.
✔ Easy airport transfer – ADO bus (250 pesos/person, 45-min ride + 5-min taxi 150 pesos next to ado turism station).
Minor drawbacks:
✖ No elevators – Tough for guests with mobility issues.
✖ Entertainment hiccups – The host sometimes forgot to switch back to English after Spanish announcements.
Perfect for: Travelers who want good value, variety, and proximity to Playa’s nightlife.
GGuest UserPros - the staff is all wonderful. The resort has been recently renovated so it’s in relatively good condition.
Cons - the food isn’t great… I would call it mediocre verging on poor. The a la carte restaurants weren’t great either and I would call the booking system/insane red tape process to visit the a la carte restaurants off putting, verging on insane.
I probably won’t be back for the above stated reasons, but I must reiterate that all of the service staff were truly lovely and no question the highlight of the trip.
NNikkilaoshiFirstly El Beso is simply 1 building within the larger Ocean Rivera resort. Meaning only your building is Adults Only. Our Swim up room was lovely. We tried almost all if not all of the 10 restaurants and we had no complaints the food was good. Maybe not always amazing but never terrible. There’s like 3/4 different brands or levels of service within the larger resort. El Beso seems to be 1 level from the top which is Privilege we switched for an extra night & the mini bar for privilege was much better as well as having the butler service and priority restaurant bookings when they were all booked. There’s also a special restaurant only for privilege that was great but none of the restaurants were extremely crowded. There’s an app or webpage that works like an app with all of the resort info and you can book reservations there. There’s also lots of entertainment nightly. It’s definitely a place to go and stay there’s no need to venture outside of the resort there’s so many things to do schedules are packed for all of the different areas & a bowling alley and theater. There is not much near by the tourist area is maybe 20 mins away by car down the beach.
GGuest UserProperty was developed in 2017 - but similar to other constructions in Mexico it was developed hastily and with poor materials. The wear and tear on the property, and lack of maintenance is noticeable. As for the plumbing situation, the stench of sewage came from the bathroom every night. When the neighbours showered, you could hear the water system very loudly. In general, it was more of a 3.5- 4 star hotel - definitely not 5.
GGuest UserIt is located in the most central location in the Praya del Carmen area. The beach is close, the bus is close, and the supermarket is close. If you are planning to travel to this area.
There is no reason not to choose this hostel.
step. I like to read books quietly. This hotel is not suitable for people with insomnia.
The hotel is beautiful. The inner rooms are relatively quiet.
QQiqibabahua**It was very exciting and you can go directly to the park. Both adults and children had a lot of fun. The environment is very good, the service is in place, and the facilities are complete. I will come again next time I have the chance.
