Staying at Clarion Hotel The Pier in Sweden turned out to be one of those experiences where you feel at ease almost immediately. There’s a certain warmth to the place that makes it stand out from the moment you walk through the doors. Friendly Staff Who Truly Welcome You What I noticed right away was how genuinely friendly the staff were. Every time we entered or walked past the front desk, we were greeted with a smile or a kind word. It’s such a simple gesture, but it created this feeling of being looked after, as if we were more than just passing guests. A Location That Balances Quiet and Convenience The hotel’s setting struck the perfect balance—peaceful and quiet, yet still so easy to get into the city center. It felt like we had the best of both worlds: calm evenings by the water, and the city’s energy just a short ride away. Whether it was morning light reflecting off the buildings or the soft glow in the evenings, those views gave the place a special atmosphere that I won’t forget. For a longer stay, being able to cook a simple meal or make a late tea added such a homely touch. The room itself felt modern and cozy, just right for settling in without feeling cramped. The breakfast chef, a lovely lady with beautiful red hair, had the warmest presence. She greeted everyone with such kindness that it set the tone for the rest of the day. My stay at the Scandinavian Crown Hotel was a wonderful experience! The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right next to the central station, a godsend for travelers with luggage. Whether you're taking the train to the airport or visiting the city's main attractions, everything is easily within walking distance. The lobby is designed in a minimalist Scandinavian style, spacious and bright, with a very chic social space. Our room, while not particularly large, was impeccably clean, and the bed was the perfect firmness, ensuring a good night's sleep. The windows were also well-insulated, so despite being near the station, it wasn't noisy at all. If you're looking for a hotel that's conveniently located, offers great value, and is comfortable, the Scandinavian Crown Hotel is definitely a great choice!

The hotel was exceptionally clean and organized. They have several great amenities like a sauna & luggage storage for the day (even after you check out). Not far from anything and in a great location. The staff all speak great English and were incredibly friendly! Breakfast was traditionally Swedish with lots to choose from and easy for anyone to find something enjoyable.

The environment is really good. It is very European and has a sense of historical sedimentation. It is in the city, and there are many shopping malls and restaurants nearby. The scenery is very good. I think it is a worthwhile experience.

Very good hotel, we booked a deluxe double room, the room is facing the street, very big and beautiful. The room rate includes breakfast and dinner and Fika cake in the afternoon. It is very cost-effective. The breakfast is very rich. The dinner is relatively simple. There is a meat dish (change every day) and a fixed salad, but the taste is good. Don't worry about eating every day. The location of the hotel is 6～ 8 minutes walk from the Central Railway Station. There are many cars at the tram station opposite the train station to go to various attractions. The bus station next to the train station can take the airport bus to the airport, which is more convenient to travel. There is a Coop next door to the hotel for easy purchasing daily necessities. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming, helping us solve the shower use problem, and on the last day, we also helped pack breakfast in advance due to our early check-out. In short, it is highly recommended to live here.

The hotel’s location is excellent and very convenient for exploring the city, which was definitely a highlight of my stay. However, there were a few aspects that fell short of expectations. Firstly, my room did not have a view of the street as I had hoped, but instead faced an inner atrium, which made it feel somewhat enclosed and less appealing. Additionally, I had booked a double room but was given a twin room instead, which was disappointing. The reception staff were not particularly friendly or welcoming, which affected the overall first impression. On a more positive note, the food in the restaurant was of satisfactory quality, and the selection was quite diverse. Overall, this is a solid hotel in a convenient location for city exploration, but the experience was far from memorable.

Loved the location of this hotel as well as the downstairs communal areas. Also the size of the room was great. Unfortunately the bed was incredibly uncomfortable and cheap so I barely slept a wink in my 3 nights there. I asked for an extra pillow as you only get one and that still didn’t help. Staff were lovely when I did speak to them, but you can easily go by your whole stay without talking to someone which is a shame as you don’t get told any information. There was also no fridge or safe in the rooms which I thought was pretty standard. Food at the breakfast buffet was really good though. Great options for vegans/gluten free too.

One of the coziest hostels I’ve stayed at. I emailed in advance to say I was showing up after 8pm, which they said was fine, and someone was there to greet me - in English, which was helpful, haha. Solo bathrooms are interspersed between the rooms, but I didn’t have too much trouble with them being full. One was covered in water, but that’s probably a guest’s fault. Could’ve used a little shelf next to the beds or something, but otherwise, no complaints.
