Hotel Kadmo by Aycon

We spent 4 nights here and found the hotel to be very comfortable. The room facilities are good (fridge, TV with access to English speaking programmes, hairdryer etc) and the room was a good size with a balcony. The only problem for us was a party of noisy Greek students who were staying and overlapped our visit by 2 nights. They were out during the day but were noisy moving in and out of each others' rooms until the early hours. The hotel hadn't seemed to consider putting them all in one area of the hotel - with their teachers, ideally - and they seemed to be dispersed everywhere in amongst the other guests, which didn't make for peaceful nights for the rest of us. This presumably wouldn't be a problem during the summer as there would be no school trips taking place. We just felt the hotel should take more care over which rooms they allocate to such parties with consideration to their other guests. As mentioned on another review, we asked for a kettle and were supplied with one right away (took our own teabags) and there is a supermarket just 3 or 4 minutes' walk away for purchasing milk. The breakfast had plenty of choice and the evening meals were adequate. All staff members were pleasant and helpful, whether or not they could speak much English, but we would like to make a special shout-out for Semina on reception, who went over and above to be helpful and friendly and really made us feel welcome in an unfamiliar country and resort.

We had to great opportunity to visit here very recently. The hotels location is tucked away nicely up a small residential Street, meaning you don't get the annoying crowds of people steaming passing by. Whilst at the same time it is literally a 5min walk from the waterfront & approximately a 20min gentle stroll from the old town area meaning everything you'll want is within easy walking distance. There's plenty of places to go to eat nearby if you don't want to eat the hotels marvellous cooked food (the beef stroganoff is outstanding). The staff are truly awesome, helpful & friendly. A staff member was even happy to assist me with hiring a car from a local company. Going in early/mid June is definitely a very good time, as it's just at the start of the season so nowhere over busy. Cannot recommend this hotel or staff highly enough.

Clean rooms, friendly/helpful staff. Rooms could do with refurbishing but functional. Cracked sink. TV had quite a few channels. Asked for kettle and cups, which were provided straight away with a smile. Supermarket close by to get basics. Breakfast fine, fried/scrambled/boiled eggs, sausage, bacon some days. Usual cold meats, cheese. Pizza, yogurts, cakes. Had set evening meal 20 euros for 4 courses, very nice and plenty. Pool small but functional, a few sun beds that weren’t really used as only about 10 minutes to beach. Free sun beds on beach at some bars if you have couple of drinks. Rooms cleaned daily and clean towels, linen changed regularly. Fridge in room to keep beer etc if you take out variety of drinks that are charged to room if you consume. A lovely, small hotel nestled at the top of a quiet residential street. Staff are great and couldn’t be more helpful. Breakfast is good and varied. Rooms are spotless, new, modern and with a good balcony. The pool is small with a limited number of sun beds - maybe not great for everyone but suited me perfectly. I would return to Kadmo as it is private and safe but also local to everything, shops, restaurants, Old Budva and beach. There are so many cats in Montenegro but one very special mother cat and her two kittens who live outside of Kadmo - if you visit please help to look after her, she is gorgeous.
