Hotel Budva

Budva|0.65km from city centre
Hotel Budva is a lovely hotel and makes a brilliant first impression. The slight chaos of Budva town in the approach to the hotel, in part caused by the development of more hotels, gives way to a tranquil and premium feeling hotel. Throughout our stay the understated effort from the team in their commitment to ensuring we had a great holiday was obvious. The standard rooms, while not enormous, are spacious and well appointed, clean and modern. We had a sea facing balcony which was lovely for the view and to watch the daily rhythm of people enjoying the town. The hotel location is ideal, near the beach and the pier from where you can catch a boat to many other beaches or tours, and just 10 minutes walk to old town, which is the highlight of the area and where we spent every evening soaking up the sights, foods and drink. Particular highlights of the hotel are the location and service, the pool is lovely if not amazingly child-friendly (though our 4 year old was fine). Sauna is good and gym good enough to keep you going while on holiday. The ice cream place attached to the hotel is phenomenal. Breakfast is decent though could be improved-the buffet area is cramped making it difficult to circulate if even a little busy, and while lots of the food is good we’d have loved to see more fruit choice/better quality fruit, and decent coffee - the machine coffee available is really poor. The other thing we would recommend to the hotel is to make irons and ironing boards available. It’s really unusual not to have this service and an alternative of €5 per item to iron for you is too high Overall we would absolutely recommend the hotel, and if you want somewhere that feels like it “fits” locally when so many super modern giant hotels are popping up, then this is a great choice. The team, all the way through to the management, responded quickly and effectively to any issue, and they set a really high standard.

Hotel Vila Lux

Budva|0.65km from city centre
On our 29-tday Balkan tour one of the ”weakest” hotels. Positive: - short distance to the old town - free parking for the car form hotel - rooms were clean Negative: - Hotel has not received our booking reservation neutral: - Receptionist did not speak any of our languages (German, English, Hungarian) - after talking to colleague on the phone it went then - next day the English-speaking colleague was there and explained everything and checked out with payment -> top! - the noise level - is on the main road. You have to live with the booking or know what to get in. A few trampers in front of the door that want to be taken with. Negative: - Because we every day in the evening our further route and stay The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable. I was then nervous at the reception where many other people had gathered, who probably wanted all of them to have Wi-Fi - A motorcycle group arrived in the evening and parked right next to our room. Also our balcony was used for joyful conversations. Since the entrance to our room did not look like the terrace belonged to the room, but in general to the hotel, people were quite often right in front of our door. The group's exit was also nervous. I think in a room in the main house, taking into account the main street noise level and Wi-Fi only in public areas, would be 4 or 5 points possible. On the basis of our experience, I can unfortunately only give a ”satisfactory”.

The hotel environment is great. Free underground parking directly leads to the room level. The breakfast was also very rich. The hotel upgraded me for free when the room type I booked was no longer available. The balcony where I stayed can directly see the winding mountain road and the sea.

We have a summer working vacation, so the hotel was perfect! Best location ever: 2 minutes walk from the beach and from the old town, which is the best place in Budva. Amazing (!!!) breakfast on the top floor terrace, the view is stunning! And truly beautifully set high quality food. Great cafe downstairs too. All the staff including reception and the cleaners were great. A big thank you to Milena, who was so attentive to us during breakfast: from the third day she knew what we wanted before we could ask for it ☺️

I like this hotel very much, the location is good, the room is big, there is a swimming pool downstairs, I chose this hotel for this swimming pool, stayed for two nights, I think if I come to Budwa next time, I will definitely choose this one.
Hotel Astoria

We recently had a suite at hotel Astoria in the walls of Budva old town. It had all the features we needed such as air conditioning, large bed, good shower and fridge/ minibar. A cooked breakfast could be eaten inside or outside on the terrace. The beach bar had great views, food and drink. One evening we had a meal on the rooftop restaurant which was a lovely setting. Reception and cleaning staff all very polite and helpful. The hotels best plus point is it’s position at the main gate to the old town. Wouldn’t hesitate to return.

The location service is very good, the breakfast is very rich, and they also helped us upgrade the room type. The hotel's spa and gym are open for free, and the sea-view swimming pool is particularly beautiful. must go!
