Parla Hostel

Interesting house and elevator. Very atmospheric inside! I lived in a separate room with a balcony. Good air conditioning, nice view, room with high ceilings. Kitchen on the 2nd floor, has everything you need! Shower works 3 out of 5. But hot water is generally ok, you have to wait. You can ask for a hairdryer and towel. In the evenings there are events where hostel guests are invited.

Half of the staff was friendly, the other half was very rude. You don't get a key to your own room, which you do get even if it's shared in other hostels. The use of the common area is a bit tricky, I heard noise almost every night and the only day I stopped by for a few minutes I got a scolding. There's no privacy, they open the door for you even when you're changing clothes and the information about events is a bit incorrect. You can only pay in cash for most things and the surcharge for paying with a credit card in dollars is over 20%. Still, the location is good, half of the staff that was friendly were actually nice and tried to help. That's why I give it 3 stars, because of those few that did try to help.
