Monopoli Hotel Bukittinggi ★★★
"Love the location of the hotel, right opposite the malls and shopping streets. Breakfast spread not bad, but i wished they change the menu daily. By the third day i was quite bored with the selection. The staff were friendly and nice. But i think they can improve to stop taking everyone’s passport for data protection. Don’t understand why need everyone’s passport when other hotels are not doing the same though. They also really strict and check that the towels are not “taken”. I had asked for extra towel but they didnt deliver, so i took one from my mother’s room next door. Upon checkout was shocked to hear that we needed to pay an amount for the missing towel. Hmm, this is something again that other hotels don’t practice. Generally the hotel is old, think they can do better on the maintenance of the facilities."

Gran Malindo Hotel
"-0.30704, 100.36521 At an altitude of 930m in a refreshinging year-round temperate climate and near the Sianok Valley Panoramic with a Japanese WWII tunnel complex, this hotel in the southwest corner of the Buttinggi city centre mainly serves groups of tourists. The latest renovation revamped the hotel with new bathrooms. In September 2023, our room 319 on 3F had an inside view, working air-conditioning, twin beds and a television. The bed slept well. Hot shower was fine. Indonesian and continental breakfast was served downstairs. The hotel offers laundry service. Wi-Fi reception was intermittent. Hotel Gran Malindo is a basic stopover hotel for tour groups."
