One of the better Premier Inns. Well maintained; friendly staff; clean. Positioned to south of Buxton which itself is a gem of a place. Car par is reasonably sized, £10 for two nights. Access is good, disabled friendly, and it had a lift, Enjoyed our stay.

Quick friendly welcome and a fair amount of parking around the hotel…although there is a fee. The charge now is £5 per night but we had booked before the prices went up and paid £3 per night. We booked a premier plus room so we also had a fridge and coffee machine and the premier plus Wi-Fi was also free with these rooms. The bathroom needed some attention, as the edges of the bath and shower screen had black mildew on….as did some of the grouting. The room was very quiet and we weren’t disturbed at all by people banging their doors. We struggled a bit with the air con…..it seemed to blow cold air out whatever temperature it was set at. In the end the young man at reception turned it off completely at the master switch! The breakfast was ok. We mainly opted for continental which consisted of….white and brown toast, crumpets, pancakes (not freshly cooked), croissants, chocolatines. Cereals, yoghurts and fruit. Unfortunately the fried breakfast did look a bit tired and dry. The Evening meal was quite good….pizza and chicken makhani curry and served by a very nice and friendly young lady (who also served us at breakfast) In fact all the staff members were really nice and friendly. Next door to the hotel was a filling station which also had a Tesco Express . Walking into Buxton was a little too far for us so we drove down the hill and parked in the streets. Chatsworth was about a 35 min drive and Jodrell Bank 40-45 mins.

Do not go to this hotel. The car parking is a rip off. £3 paid for the parking as requested. Fined £60. Appealed now want £20. What about my £3. Is it a £23 fine now, £17 or PREMIRE INN cancel the fine Had nothing but grief and email tennis trying to sort this out

Nice clean room, but the air conditioning even though turned off hummed all night this ment I did not get a good night's sleep I would have brought ear plugs if I had known ,I will ask before booking next time I use a premier Inn if they have air conditioning.

Hotel in good location with lots of car parking spaces (paid £3 for 24 hours, pay macine in reception and easy to use). Room very clean and quiet. Another very pleasant stay in Premier Inn hotel. Approx 15 minute walk into Buxton (Opera House, The Crescent, Pump House, St Annes Fountain, Gardens, shops, etc). From the centre we walked to Solomon's Temple (approx 45 min walk but you could park closer to save yr legs). Lots of fabulous walks around to choose from. We wil be returning in the future.

We stayed in a premier plus room. It's was lovely and spacious and clean. The self check in was broken but a member of staff came reasonably quickly to check us in. The windows don't open which shouldn't have been a problem but the air con is fairly noisy and not that effective so the room was very warm despite being on the lowest temperature (19°) and fan blowing its maximum so we did struggle sleeping. The coffee machine was good, a nice little chocolate each. The mini fridge is good but make sure you take some water as it isn't provided, we didnt realise until bed time so make the fridge pretty useless for us. Parking was £3 for the night and we found a space even after popping into Buxton to the Thai for tea. Breakfast was good, scrambled eggs and sausages had run out on the continental but everything we did have was cooked nicely. Also usefully there is a Tesco express/ Esso fuel station next door if you need to fill up. Apart from the warmth it would have been a really enjoyable stay.

I don't really write reviews any more but feel like I should come out of retirement for the PI, Buxton. A really good stay and everything I would expect from this consistent, quality company. The team there were constantly working together and making sure everyone was seen to promptly and effectively. The hotel was in great condition, clean and the room was of a great standard. Excellent sleep in a very comfy bed. Shower was marvellous. I find the ultimate wi fi log in a little confusing but that's probably me. I do want to mention the Chef in particular. I had a view of the pass and this young man was well organised taking great care over everyone's food. I have eaten at Thyme elsewhere and it's been fine - a great option at the end of a tiring day. However the food here was much better than previous offerings and I was encouraged to use the in house restaurant in the future rather than just because there isn't anything nearby. I was on my pedal bike and PI are excellent for cyclists allowing clean bikes in the room. It makes a real difference and is appreciated. The hotel is a ten minute walk from the edge of the town. I heard a few people commenting on the parking charges. Folks - do your homework and if it's that significant go somewhere with free parking. However if you do go here just bear in mind that the lad on reception didn't introduce the parking charges and can't do anything about them. Well done Premier Inn Buxton. I would stay here again no problem.
