The Black Boy Inn ★★★★
"The location is excellent, convenient for getting around, but there wasn't any parking as described. Public parking nearby is free from 5 pm to 9 am; you'll need to pay if you arrive early or leave late. The room is upstairs from the restaurant, so there was some slight noise, but overall it was acceptable. The shower water temperature and flow were fantastic, and the mattress was just the right firmness. The sheets were washed, but there were still some stains that might be difficult to remove."
YHA Snowdon Llanberis ★★★
"Stayed here for one night, before hiking Snowdon the following day. We got the bus from just down the road to Llanberis. Hostel was clean and tidy, and staff were happy to help. The kitchen was on the smaller side compared to some of the other YHA's hostels I've stayed in, but still big enough for multiple people to cook in. There was a large dining area with plenty of seating available. We stayed in a standard room (three of us), and the shower/toilet facilities were clean. Would happily stay here again."
Premier Inn Caernarfon ★★★
"free wi fi"
The Celtic Royal Hotel ★★★
"Good breakfast buffet "full English" each morning. Sauna and steam room next to the pool. Rooms are clean, water pressure is good, location is central."
Ty Glyndwr Bunkhouse, Bar and Cafe ★★
"This is such a unique place. If I'm in Caernarfon again I'll be going back to the Welsh/Thai fusion bar in the basement even if staying somewhere else. Owner is a friendly and memorable woman who makes great cocktails and food. The combo of Welsh and Southeast Asian aesthetics throughout the place was unexpected and cool. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean, location was good. "
Royal Victoria Hotel Snowdonia ★★★
"This hotel had a very convenient location. It was within walking distance of the restaurant district, the train station, and bus stops. A short morning stroll was also possible, taking just a few minutes to reach the lake and the castle, making it a very comfortable location. Breakfast consisted of a full English breakfast selection. There was a bathtub, allowing me to soak and relieve my fatigue. I didn't use the bar, but it seemed quite lively. Unfortunately, there were no taxis available that day, but the staff kindly checked by phone and arranged for a bus. They also held my luggage after check-out."
Travelodge Caernarfon ★★★
"Nice and clean. Suited our needs perfectly. Staff very friendly and helpful when you could find them. They appeared to be extremely busy when needed. "
Tyn Rhos Country House ★★★★★
"Ty'n Rhos Country House Hotel is a 5* boutique hotel of the highest order. Better than any other I have stayed in across Britain. Family run, with the owner very hands-on each day and her excellent design and creativity has made each room special. The staff, all hand-picked by her, are like a family and nothing is too much trouble (in fact the owner's by-word is just that). Five star service and facilities, but never presumptuous. Set in lovely countryside, with large grounds and gardens overlooking Menai Straits and Anglesey Island, it is peaceful, tranquil and relaxing. Breakfasts, Afternoon tea and dinner are all home made on site, and will fill you up. We stayed last year and came back again this year. We plan to come again next year (very unlike us to keep going back to the same place, but this is so special you will want to)."
Plas Dinas Country House ★★★★★
"Absolutely brilliant night the setting is beautiful and inside you feel like your at a fantastic house party rather than a restaurant, service is exceptional and attention to detail fantastic. The menu is beautifully curated and expertly executed , a wonderful dining experience we will definitely return"

The Lake View Hotel
"the lake view hotel can't see the lake"
Plas Tan y Graig
"2nd stay at this lovely independent guest house- Mark and Annette are top class hosts and the guest house is immaculate- it’s like walking into a mini 4* hotel topped by a superb welsh breakfast. Everything about the set up is class and you get great tips from them on local places to visit and the most scenic routes. It’s a chance to escape in the most beautiful scenery and the river can be heard all night from your room- how relaxing! I can’t recommend highly enough in this era of chain hotels and lousy service and we shall be returning next year without fail- give them a go, you won’t be disappointed "
