Bowood Hotel Spa & Golf Resort

Played here as part of a corporate day I’m a member at Woburn so I know a good golf course when I see one Very open course and pretty long - but the hazards are fiendish and superbly designed in terms of their location Really enjoyed it Drinks service was great Food was good - brave doing lamb as a main, as it’s not a meat for everyone I always think (I personally loath lamb but I actually enjoyed it) The potato slab thing was a bit weird :)

Mrs Duds and I had a two-night dine and stay break in the spacious room 225 overlooking the Academy Course and could not fault a single element of our stay - from the round on the PGA Championship golf course, the massage in the elegant spa or the food choices and quality at dinner and breakfast. But what really made the stay special was the service from every member of staff - reception, bar, dinner, breakfast, pro shop and spa. They were all exceptional and could not do more to make our stay memorable. We’ll be back!

Booked the deluxe Spa experience for me and my daughters, what a wonderful 24 hours. We were checked into one of the suites, and treated to a bottle of bubbly, a lovely personal touch with handwritten thoughts. The suite was stunning, very comfortable with a great selection of drinks and homemade cookies. Small spa with two rooms out of action when we arrived, however quickly repaired albeit meaning the plunging and banging interrupted the calm for a short period. The massage however, was one of the best, high praise as I've had some amazing ones in very recommend hotels/Spas. Evening meal excellent, cocktails enjoyable and a lovely breakfast choice. We asked for extras added to the full English, no quibble and they were happily provided. A very pleasant stay ended with a complementary visit to Bowood house and gardens, and a bonus trip to the woodland, very beautiful bluebells and rhododendrons. Thank you all for a wonderful stay, would definitely visit again.

Lovely view from hotel room and lovely big bathroom. Lovely helpful staff food was good. Spa was lovely and clean very good treatments. Would deffo recommend for a romantic break away. I loved that the waitress came out Friday evening where we were sat and fed Percy the pheasant his granola in a cup was so lovely to see !!!

I would not stay again with my family, over priced, unfriendly staff who didn’t particularly care about your stay and what should have been a special stay for my son birthday was ruined at breakfast when they over booked most the guests and we had to sit in the lobby while being ignored the whole time When I went to leave, no apologies or a goodwill gesture Will not be returning

An overnight stay for a little TLC, restbite. From the perspective of the carpark it suggested that it was very busy, however the atmosphere was so relaxed, most probably on the golf course which looked amazing. The reception was quick and efficient, information about the hotel perfect. A trip to the spa did not disappoint, the massage I received from Layla was top class! Sauna properly hot and pool adequate. The restaurant in the evening did not disappoint, a varied selection for me the vegetarian but I have to say the eggs Florentine in the morning were disappointing, eggs hard in the middle, not what I expected Check out fast and efficient
