Fairfield Inn & Suites Cancun Downtown

The hotel is decent and clean, there is a 711 and oxxo so very convenient for buying small things.

Great hotel to stay at on our way to our next destination. It’s right in the middle of the city so it was well located for our souvenir shopping. It’s right next to an Oxxo and a short walk to a big mall. The gym was great! Breakfast was tasty and with enough choices for us.

What’s make this experience worst is the service, they just cleaned the room one time. It flooded 4 times, I cleaned the room thrice. The last clean requested wasn’t granted. I even asked for the manager, Veronica, she came and just saw the flood and said they’ change our room and give us one complimentary night but she never get back to us. She said someone will clean the flood as well but no one did. We went down to the lobby, after 3 hours of waiting, and she saw, but she did not say anything like nothing happened. What kind of manager is that, I request her to be suspended. She can’t be managing an international hotel like that. I’ve experienced some scenarios in Peru at Hilton hotel in the restaurant but the manager was really good in handling the situation. And they were too kind. But in this hotel, seems like they don’t care at all. I asked for the manager’s name she just gave us her name and never said anything so we called guest service once again and asked for Ms. Veronica, the manager to go to our room, but no one came again the guest said she is not in the front desk so he asked me to wait and I waited but no one came up. Worst experience ever!

Check-in was quick, I booked a king room, but they initially assigned me a 2 queen bedroom, and they stated that the booking depends on room availability. It was confusing, though, since there is an option for 2 queen or a king bed on trip.com. Anyways, luckily, there is a king room available, so they gladly transferred us to a king bedroom and all was good. Would definitely stay with them again.

The location is in downtown and close to restaurants and money exchanges. Hotel is well serviced, although I feel the breakfast could have been better. The room sink had an issue when we arrived, it took me a follow up to get a person who took the bathroom towel to remove it and left both the wet towel and sink block on the bathroom platform … perhaps few things they can improve on. The hotel also has gym and a facility to wash clothes

The hotel location is great. The Front Desk employee Andre was excellent. Breakfast was good, wish they have a fresh coffee machine. Room should provide cotton buds. Room is clean, bed is super comfy. Stayed for two nights.
