The hotel is situated in a very nice area and very very safe. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Cape Town.

The worst night sleep ever in a hotel. Sadly, the peace and tranquility advertised by this resort was not our reality. There is a detour taking traffic within yards of the room we were allocated. Moreover, the room would not lock, was dirty and the patio had stains and water from the leak pouring from the roof. Even the bath robe was stained and dirty. The staff were lovely and apologised - the next day we were moved to the main house which is ok, but not worth the high costs.

The staff ,particularly Benson, were friendly and helpful.The hotel is in a lovely location giving an impression of an English country house.Which of course is what it was.Views of the bay are exceptional.The rooms are comfortable and clean.

This review is about the restaurant Bella's. For us it was amazing. This was due to 3 things, the fenomenal view, the fantastic waiter Avery, but also the food was delicious. Special thanks to Avery for making our last night in Cape Town so good!

We spent an idyllic week in this beautiful piece of paradise on earth. The breakfasts and dinners which we enjoyed sitting on the terrace were excellent and we were spellbound by the magnificent views of the grounds and the sea beyond. Easy to forget that we were only a short walk away to the beach and Camps Bay and a fifteen minutes taxi drive away to the waterfront in Cape Town. The staff are lovely people and they all made sure that we had the best holiday. Lots of thoughtful touches like lighting the fires in the cosy lounges if it got chilly, providing complementary afternoon teas, cooking up twice weekly barbecues and providing excellent gluten free options. Our room in the historic and beautiful Manor House was extremely comfortable. It was so relaxing listening to the waves as we drifted off to sleep. We honestly didn’t want to leave and we very much hope to return one day. A big thank you to you all at the hotel.

Amazing views of the beach, the mountains, and the sunset was just stunning. The staff the food and cleanliness of our accommodation was perfect. We cancelled a day trip so we could spend more time relaxing in our surroundings, nothing was too much trouble for staff

Camps Bay Retreat is a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The log fired hot tubs were used nearly every evening with assistance from the staff. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The retreat offers delicious food, however is also close to a variety of restaurants and shops in Camps Bay. I cant wait to return.

On a first trip to South Africa, I asked a friend where in Cape Town to stay. He recommended Clifton or Camps Bay, which got me hunting, and I found Camp's Bay Retreat online. The idea of going across a rope bridge to get to your beautifully appointed room is charming, and the peaceful olde world feel of the main hotel is super. The grounds are awesome, and just a few minutes walk from the Camp's Bay beach and waterfront. Breakfast is great - other meals are good, but probably better to find a local restaurant. Service friendly, helpful and overall very good, albeit a little slow sometimes. I would definitely recommend this hotel again.
