Hotel Nantipa - A Tico Beach Experience

Our stay at Nantipa was top rated with excellent accommodation, great service all around and enjoyable sunsets at the beach without leaving the property. The property allows you to see wildlife right outside from your room window. I highly recommend this place to rest and recharge.

Look no further - if you want a modern, luxury, elegant hotel - this is it. Beachfront, clean, and honestly one of my favorite hotels ever. From the moment you arrive - you are taken care of by the lovely staff. The rooms are appointed perfectly, the bathrooms perfection, the restaurant is amazing with an oceanfront view. The is an eco hotel and is walkable to everything in town. Run don’t walk to hotel Nantipa!

One of the best resorts we have seen. Incredible environment, straight at the beach. Very nice rooms (apartments), very friendly staff, very good quality food. The area around the hotel is still under development and more focused on surf youth. Also the roads are not really up to standards. But the stay itself was magic

Nantipa is beautiful in a place full of beautiful people ! The setting is perfect , the concierge staff are lovely and very helpful . The restaurant is on the beach and the most amazing view especially at sunset with a pina colada ! Their restaurant food does let the hotel down as it's very average . Alonso was very helpful in sorting out a problem we had in the restaurant. The beach in front of the hotel is not good for swimming - it didn't really matter to us as we just walked down the beach - which goes in forever and never that many people . Perfect for surfing - beginners and good surfers . It really is a lovely hotel but at holiday time it would be filled with children so not a place to go if you want a quiet time !

We enjoyed a much-needed vacation at Nantipa with our 10-month-old baby. It was the perfect place to unwind, and we truly cherished every moment of our stay. The resort was incredibly accommodating for families, making it a stress-free experience for us. Some of the highlights included: • A baby crib provided upon request, ready in our room when we arrived. • An in-room babysitting service, which gave us the chance to enjoy a few activities as a couple. • A shallow pool that was perfect for our little one to splash around safely. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and their warm hospitality made us feel right at home. We are so grateful for the attention to detail and care provided during our stay. Nantipa is an ideal destination for families traveling with young children. Thank you to the wonderful staff for making our trip so memorable. Pura Vida!

Nantipa is an incredible resort conveniently located in Santa Teresa, a charming beach town in the Nicoya Peninsula. The resort is well appointed and relaxing. In the “Nanku” rooms there was plenty of room for our family of four with two young children. Our family spent a lot of time at the beautiful pool and at the beach. The only downside of the pool is there isn’t a bathroom nearby (have to walk to front or restaurant). The beach outside the resort is a bit rough and so you need to be careful. Some of the people that make Nantipa special: Mariana (concierge); Ali (front desk); Camilla (yoga); Daniel and Bryan and Salvador (Manzu); and several others I am unfortunately forgetting. We booked some activities through the resort. Surfing: we surfed two days and Andres was the lead instructor. He and his team (gracias Danny!) were incredibly friendly and patient and great with kids. I was surprised how quickly they got new surfers standing up and surfing. Andres is also a tremendous ambassador for the Santa Teresa area and explained so many things to us. It was a great experience and I highly recommend booking surfing with Andres and his team. Tortuga island: this is a fun day and worth doing. It starts early (730am) to get to the boat (30 min away), and about a 45 min boat trip out toward the island. On the way we stopped to see spider monkeys and snorkel. Then the boat went to Tortuga Island and you spent a few hours. The crew makes a delicious lunch and provided drinks. You can order cocolocos, which are coconut milk and rum, and worth trying. We played volleyball, swam, and did a banana boat. Fun day. Restaurants: Manzu is the only restaurant at the hotel and is delicious for all meals, though it is fairly expensive and you can save some money by walking into Santa Teresa. Some of our favorites in Santa Teresa were Maharaja (incredible Indian!), Drift Bar (relaxing scene for lunch and drinks), and Nami (sushi). You’ll love Nantipa!
