We arrived at the hotel at around 3am because we spontaneously decided that we needed a few more hours of sleep before we continued our journey. Unfortunately, we were given a room that had not been cleaned. There were dirty towels on the floor, rubbish everywhere, the beds were not made and I would rather not write anything about the bathroom. Since there was no one at reception at that time, we tried to call the emergency number. Unfortunately, despite several attempts, we were unable to reach anyone there. Since the room was so extremely dirty, we decided to sleep in the car. The reception was open again at around 6am. We explained to the lady (who was very friendly) what had happened. She made a copy of my bank details and personal information and promised that we would be refunded. I also contacted the hotel chain afterwards. I was promised that I would receive the money. Unfortunately, this has not happened to date and despite repeated requests! So I can now give my final review. If the reception is not manned, you should perhaps think twice about checking in there. The room would have been big enough and enough for a few hours sleep. However, the price is simply too high. The breakfast that we saw when we spoke to reception looked OK, but there was little choice. There is parking, but it was very tight because the car park was very full. The lady at reception was very friendly, but actually only spoke French. If you don't speak French, communication could be difficult.
