Holiday Inn Ashford Central, an IHG Hotel ★★★
"Let’s start with the positives. Owen at the bar was outstanding and provided excellent service. The food quality at both the bar and breakfast was very good. Although the building is old and somewhat dated, it is clearly well maintained. The cleanliness standards throughout the public areas and the room were also very high. Unfortunately, our stay was significantly affected by the air conditioning in Room 130 not working. We reported the issue on our first evening and were led to believe it was a new problem that could be fixed. Instead, we were given a dusty fan to get through the night and were promised that we would be moved to another room the following day. The next morning, after speaking with the staff, we discovered that the air conditioning issue in Room 130 was actually an ongoing problem. We were also told that there had been no handover regarding the promised room move. The morning staff assured us they would do their best to arrange a move later that day. However, when we returned that evening, the staff again informed us that no handover had taken place and that there were no other family rooms available. As a result, we had no choice but to spend a second night in a room without air conditioning, relying on the same dusty and noisy fan. (On both days, outside temperature was around 35 degrees Celsius) The fan was in such poor condition that it was completely unacceptable to expect guests to use it. No guest should have to pay for accommodation under these circumstances. This is the worst experience we have had at any IHG hotel, despite being loyal guests for many years. While many members of staff were friendly and helpful, the lack of communication between shifts, failure to honour the promised room move, and the decision to continue allocating a room with a known air conditioning fault fell well below the standard we have come to expect from IHG hotels."
Holiday Inn SITTINGBOURNE by IHG ★★★★
"We had an excellent stay at the Holiday Inn in Sittingbourne. The hotel was clean and well-maintained throughout. Our room was comfortable, quiet and equipped with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The staff were courteous, professional and friendly considering we had our baby on board. They were always willing to assist which made the experience even more enjoyable. We also appreciated the convenient location with easy access to local amenities and transport links. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and would be happy to return. I highly recommend this hotel to both leisure and business travelers."
Hampton by Hilton Ashford International ★★★
"Clean strategic location next to the train station so easy access to central london"
Hythe Imperial Hotel, Spa & Golf ★★★★
"I was not expecting much from the hotel we only booked in due to needing somewhere close to stay by Port Lympne, but I won’t be returning, the hotel all needs a bit of a refurbish rooms are a little dated and the pool/spa especially need a massive refresh tiles look mouldy and holes in walls everywhere, there was dust on our bedside tables plus the furniture in the bedrooms were also extremely dated"
Holiday Inn ASHFORD - NORTH A20 by IHG ★★★
"Staff excellent. room excellent. not exactly where i needed to be next day but acceptable. Beer selection poor. Hobgoblin Session IPA is not an ale. With Shepheard Neame on your doorstep Spitfire, Bishops finger. Offering a citrusy/zesty as the only alternative to a a multitude of lagers is poor. hobgoblin Ruby if tied to that brewery for this outlet would of been fine or some bottled alternative. Who ever specified to controls for the shower being opposite the shower head and not under it was a bl@£dy genius. No scalding of freewing whilst trying to set the temperature. Thanks for a very acceptable stay."
