Unc Charlotte Marriott Hotel & Conference Center

My stay at the Marriott UNC Charlotte was outstanding. Lakeisha, Julia, and Lajcia were incredibly welcoming and professional, making me feel right at home. What was originally planned as a one-night stay quickly turned into three, thanks to their exceptional hospitality and the overall experience. The staff is friendly, and the hotel itself is beautifully decorated. The lounge is top-notch, with a great selection of snacks and a relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are luxurious, well-designed, and offer scenic views. They also provide valet parking at a reasonable rate, or you can park across the street in the parking deck, which is also affordable. Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located near the Charlotte tram, which takes you downtown in about 20 minutes. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend this hotel if you're in the UNCC area.

This is a beautiful hotel. The hotel was clean and inviting. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. As soon as we entered the hotel they were ready for us. Our room was very nice and spacious. I loved the long couch, which was great for lounging. The view was good. The bathroom was very clean and comfortable. The TV wasn't loud enough, but that was the only downside.

I understand we cannot control how other people behave, reason why I am not blaming the hotel my very bad experience overnight. My room was a connecting room, at around 1 am we had neighbors come to the connecting room making a lot of noise, banging on the doors, probably completely drunk. I waited for about 30 min and they wouldn’t stop. I called the front desk, Marilyn answered and she already knew who the 2 guys were and immediately called the other room. Despite her calling and asking them to lower their voices, they kept making noises. I am a health care worker, came from Asheville to take a breath after a week of work after the Hurricane Helene destroyed us, the last thing I needed was impolite people waking me up in the middle of the night. I went downstairs at around 2:30 am to talk to Marilyn. At that point I wanted to cancel my stay for the next day but, because I had booked through a third party, she couldn’t cancel my stay. However, she did everything that she could possibly do to make me feel better and less frustrated with the situation. She moved us to a better room and without a connection with other room, also provided us with other benefits on the next day. I rated as “very good” this hotel because of the people that work here and the comfortable room and amenities. However, my stay unfortunately was not excellent due to other customers.
