Brilliant location, central and walking distance to racecourse. Great service from reception staff, always happy to help with a smile on their face and go the extra mile. Natalie was brilliant and saved the day with a safety pin! Thank you again!

Room was smaller than expected- we paid for a standard plus with a king sized bed and lavazza coffee machine. The bed was more like a large double than a king size and the bathroom was tiny. Was woken up twice during the night by two different drunken groups wandering the corridor trying to find their rooms. This hotel is between two bars so don’t expect a peaceful night, although there was no external noise.

Great sized room, location fab, Sanjay helped me out with some connectivity issues. Only thing to say was that the air con unit made a weird noise is the night, but a bit of jiggery pokery sorted it out, and it was a bit odd having the breakfast boxes but the kids liked the novelty.

Never slept on a mattress that was so uncomfortable, it was that uncomfortable that I was tossing and turning all night in pain. The pillows are rock hard and make your head hurt. Also if you want to watch TV you have to pay for WiFi otherwise you only have few channels to watch.

The policy of not allowing left luggage ruined my trip to Chester as I had to lug my luggage around the city. Will use a different hotel next time.

Noise comes through the floor and really hard to sleep when they have events on in the bar below avoid. Staff don't care and neither does the firm. You will receive a boiler plate notice that your staying at your own risk.

We looked fwd to our stay at the ‘newly refurbished Chester central travelodge’ We’re VERY disappointed. The room was filthy. There was a big hole in the wall! The bathroom door handle was hanging off a screw was missing. Exactly the same with the hook on bathroom wall. The sink overflow was BLACK with mould. There was a yellow sticker on side of toilet. The room was not cleaned for the 3 nights we stayed just got fresh towels. All paintwork was very shabby. The air con didn’t work. The lift was dirty not cleaned at all during our stay. Disabled toilet out of order for the whole of our stay. I could go on!! Have given two stars as reception staff were ok even though reported issues were not addressed.

Hotel above nightclub which finished at 0200. Stayed 2 nights for work. Location great but noise ridiculous

The Travelodge is above a nightclub that does not close until 2am. The noise from the nightclub was unbearable, so don't expect to get a good night's sleep - unless you are visiting the nightclub.
