Macdonald New Blossoms Hotel

"Staff lovely. That's about it. We had 2 rooms. One of which had an aircon system full of dust blowing onto us. We needed that because in this extreme heat, all windows were sealed. Cold tap wouldn't turn off, dust x just appalling for the price of £200. Room 2, extremely warm, no opening windows. Nice fan to blow the lovely warm and dry air around the room. Impossible to sleep. No ice apparently in this £200 a night hotel. As for breakfast, WOW. I'm 66 and I truly do not believe I have experienced such a poor offering. Cold eggs, fried or nothing. No water available, only if requested from staff. Tea and coffee available through those 1970s machine things that you push on the top. Plain greek yoghurt available, pity that there was absolutely no fruit available. No vegetarian options in hot selection. Awful, awful, awful. Of course,this is just my personal opinion and does not necessarily represent the views of the managers or shareholders of the McDonald hotel group."

"Absolutely fabulous stay from booking to departure after being let down by a previous booking. Apartment had everything needed for a comfortable stay with just a short walk into Chester. Hosts went above and beyond even leaving me a bottle of prosecco for my birthday. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting somewhere to stay in Chester Tips Apartment is over 3 floors so may not be great for anyone with mobility issues and similarly parking is around a 10 minute walk away"

"What a lovely and efficient place to stay. Regular emails to ensure my arrival was easy. I arrived late, had instructions where to find room, key and parking. Clean and tidy. Good strong shower. What’s not to like. Very pleasant Italian restaurant half a mile down the road. Similarly on early leaving next day, I had instructions where to leave key and off I went. Added bonus that where I needed to be was only five minutes away! Wish I’d been there the two nights I was in Chester, but had grotty hotel booked already which really highlighted how lovely this place was. Thankyou"

"Stayed here last night, everything was perfect. Our room was lovely and clean and had everything we needed for one night. The hotel is close to the city so just an uber ride away. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we opted for the breakfast the next day which was delicious. Would definitely stay here again."
