"Hello,
I stayed at your hotel for one night in a twin room with my dad in July. Date Friday 14th July 2023. We have just received a parking fine for parking in your car park. This is strange as we provided our car registration number when we checked in? Our booking number from Trip.com is: ***********. The check in voucher number is: **********.
Please can you look in to this for me as I don’t live in the UK, I live in China. My dad received the letter and doesn’t know how to deal with this as he is 89 years old and can’t use the automated service on telephones and struggles with hearing, and my mum can’t help as she doesn’t speak English well.
Please cancel the fine as it’s been sent to us in error. Car registration number: LL60 YFU
Kind Regards,
Miss Susan Sen"
"Check in was very easy and hassle free with three members of staff checking guests in. We arrived well before check in time of 15:00hrs but no early check in rooms were available so we had to return later to check in.
Room size was adequate with comfy bed and quality pillows ensuring good rest.
Hotel is very clean and is well staffed, only downside is the location that its not walking distance to the city centre but this is not a deal breaker due to parking at this hotel being a lot easier on the outskirts of the city centre."

"Checking in at the main Oddfellows hotel was smooth but it would have helped to have the exact address of the apartment in advance, so we could park more easily. There is one parking space at the apartment but it is a tight entrance!
Apartment 5 was upstairs and very spacious. The lounge/kitchen/diner was well set up and the tea and coffee available was very welcome. Bedrooms and bathrooms were large, comfy and clean (but could do with a few hooks for towels or coats). There is even a laundry room. Decof is quirky and the location is great - just off the main streets. Fabulous place to stay."
"I thought it would only take 5 minutes to get there, but it ended up taking 20 minutes in the rain.
I found out that the agency platform charges about 30% more.
The community hotel has no elevator, so I had to carry my luggage up by myself.
Then I found out that the room was so small that I couldn't unfold my suitcase to take things.
The breakfast was a typical British breakfast, which was enough to fill my stomach.
What I couldn't accept was that there was no place to put my luggage after I checked out, and they said they were not responsible for the safety of my luggage. No one looked after my luggage, which was really unexpected.
Finally, the old lady suggested taking my suitcase to a locker at the station and spending a few dollars to store it. The actual result was that Chester Station didn't have this service. I was stunned!
There are two other hotels 3 minutes away from the station, such as Lloyd Hotel, which is better, and the actual price is about 55~60 pounds."
"This is a treasure hotel discovered during my trip to England. If you go to Chester, don’t miss this unique British scenery. A family of three stayed in two executive rooms, which were beautifully decorated and spotless, showing that the management level and service standards are unambiguous. Regardless of the hotel's location, facilities, guest rooms, catering and services, it is impeccable, first-class, and very cost-effective. It is the best choice in Chester.
The beautiful old Chester, a low-key and luxurious British-style hotel, is deeply impressive and unforgettable, and I hope to return."
"Close to the hotel in Chester, there is an open free parking lot that is very convenient, the room is clean, the bed is very comfortable, but the hotel does not have an elevator to carry your luggage upstairs, and the toilet flush in the room is sometimes weak. It is worth mentioning that the breakfast is very delicious."

Great
SSRI I.An ideal location within walking distance to Chester City Old Town, Chester Castle and Chester Cathedral. Overall lovely apartment with the view of Chester City Wall and sunset over the Racecourse. Special mention of Aisha, friendly and helpful front-office officer, she made our stay a truly memorable experience.
GGuest UserI thoroughly enjoyed my stay. A building with a history, Victorian era. Staff were friendly and the paintings around the walls are beautiful.
The room was clean, large and the bed was just right, not too soft.
Great location, just across the station and convenient to walk to town and other sites of interest. I would stay there again.
DDrVicThe location of this hotel is great, very close to Chester and all the attractions around.
In terms of the room, our room was very spacious and the bed was very big. However it was two singles joined together, so a gap between the two.
This is probably where the good bits end. The size of the room and bathroom really was a positive though, especially travelling with a baby.
We had to pay £5 to hire a travel cot and in the end we didn’t use it. The cot mattress appears to have never been replace and was very thin and lumpy, making it redundant. The wooden slates at the bottom of the crib could be felt very dominantly through what was left of the mattress, meaning our baby was waking up uncomfortable and we had to transfer him to the bed.
In terms of things that could do with improvement:
Cleanliness
The room floor was very dirty and could have benefited from an additional vacuum. Initially I put this down to arriving on New Year’s Day and then having a lot of people check out that day, but the whole hotel appeared a little bit grubby on closer inspection.
The spa pool was exceptionally dirty. The floor coming out of the changing room covered in hair and general dirt. The showers looked like they hadn’t had a good scrub in months, with yellow build up all over the floor and walls. Not what you expect from a spa! To top it off after swimming I have contracted the Norovirus.
Service
Our first encounter with the reception staff was great the lady very welcoming and friendly. We met the cleaner as well who was also lovely. The rest of the staff we encountered were not so great. Either rude or disinterested, I get that it might not be your dream job but service with a smile goes a long way.
Facilities
The hot water takes a while to come through at busier times, this is signposted in the room. However, the water does not get very water at all. It does come through at a pleasant temperature, but not great if you like a bath or shower on the warmer side.
There are three times a day when you can go swimming with children. It would be great if these times were restricted to children/families only, as there were quite a few adults sitting around the poolside and in the hot tub.
Breakfast was ok, but a lot of the time left uncovered.
Overall not a great stay and would be unlikely to stay again.
GGuest UserA little piece of heaven! The room was very comfortable, well designed and with lovely nautical features throughout. On arrival, parking was excellent, friendly helpful staff, within minutes we were sat by the window, overlooking the fast flowing river, being entertained by the wildlife whilst enjoying a well earned drink after a nearly three hour drive! Location was perfect, breakfast, a joy! A birthday treat for my special girl which couldn't of been better, we will return.
GGuest UserOvernight stay to catch up with ex colleague and friend. Lovely clean and spacious room. Comfortable beds and fabulous spa facilities. All staff encountered were pleasant, helpful and polite. Breakfast was good, both hot and cold choices.
TT5732A decent and new-build hotel. At a convenient location, near a Waitrose, the town centre and Chester railway station. Recommended for those who would like to stay at Chester. The only problem is some of the light bulbs is broken. And I would like to say Chester is a great town with many historical buildings.
GGuest UserExcellent service from reception when we arrived to Raffael in the bar/restaurant and all the other staff were helpful and cheerful.
Food was excellent, we had a full meal one night and bar snacks the following night and everything was tasty and well presented.
Llilythe service apartment is clean. It is close to the city centre. The rooms are big and comfortable. The kitchen is nice. I am sure that I will book this hotel again and highly recommend to my friends.
GGuest UserA warm, welcoming greeting from the receptionist. This hotel is maintained to a very high standard and spotlessly clean. It is also in a prime location. The facilities available were also very good. The only negative I have, is that a bedside lamp was broken - which is very minor, however, does need replacing. The beds were extremely comfortable, making for an excellent nights sleep. I will definitely be staying here again.
GGuest UserThis is a very traditional hotel. It has a very good leisure centre (so don’t forget your swim suit).
The hotel has a large bar area which is very comfortable and the prices reasonable.
There is a large free car park.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
