Chiang Mai Chang Khlan 3-star Hotels

Needed a place in Chiang Mai for 4 nights. Didn't care about luxury but didn't want the cheapest place I could find either. Came across this on Agoda and thought it might be worth a try. It's 150 Baht ride from The Chiang Mai Airport. I arrived Check in Was quick and easy. The room is immaculate. Small but very clean. Great bed flat screen TV many many channels. The air condition is fantastic. It's a hostile but it also has. Individual rooms Which is what I booked. It's unbelievable value. 22.50 a night. They don't advertise free breakfast. But they have a common area just behind reception. With a big screen TV and it's got a full kitchen that everybody is welcome to use. If you clean up after yourself, they have all the utensils. They do have a small breakfast in the morning, which is free to everybody who stays here. Although they don't advertise. It waffles cereal coffee tea toast. Basic But very nice. They also have four or five bicycles that are available free of charge to use which is a tremendous perk. There are a couple of negatives but based on the value for money. I can work around them. Number one no room safe number two When you take the key card out when you leave the room the refrigerator also loses electricity. First I've seen this most hotels I've stayed at. Had the refrigerator socket wired to stay hot, even when the key card was out. And it would be nice if they had a chair. In the room nothing fancy just a basic chair. Should I find myself in Chiang Mai again? I will definitely use this hotel again. The staff here are very very friendly. From the reception to the room cleaners everyone always smiling willing to help out answer any questions. Making sure everybody has a nice day. I can't recommend this place enough.

Stayed in Sleep Mai Thapae for 6 days, and it was the most comfortable stay. The breakfast spread was decent. They had a variety of dishes, mostly pork. Unfortunately, we don't take pork. Apart from that, the spread was decent. Location wise, Sleep Mai Thapae is right smack in the centre of Chiang Mai's old town's hustle and bustle. We could walk to most places. Highly recommended.

I've been here before in the past and I came back again after many years. Now they renovated and add more rooms to the building attached and added also an outdoor pool. The location it's just perfect right by the Night Bazar and very Central. Rooms have a good size with very large bed. Will stay here again on my next trips to Chiang Mai

We arrived at this hotel six nights. The hotel is located well, 15 minutes walk to the tourist quarter, i.e. Quadrata, next to the shop 7/11, small shopping center, there are local cafes. The rooms are quite spacious. The hotel's pluses end up. The Internet is normal, but only for one device, that is, either a phone, or a tablet. Breakfasts are simply no choice, no choice as such, cook disgustingly. Twice there was a similarity to the Swedish table, once breakfast on the menu, for the rest of the days we didn't take breakfast. If something has ended, you have to ask, as they do not replenish the missing, omlet on the menu is the most unpleasant that we ate in Thailand, and it is in a country with such a beautiful kitchen! In any local striking cafe cook dozens of times better. When choosing a room, bear in mind that a new building is being built directly next to the hotel with all the consequences in the form of noise, dust, etc. Only after our very insistent real room was replaced with windows on the other side - there is a view on the city and quite quiet. Then long searched for our next booking (reserved at the same time by two armored). The air conditioner blows on the bed, and the air conditioning unit itself is located on the balcony, occupiing almost all the available place on the 8th floor of the hotel there is a beautiful terrace with a wonderful view, but.. There is only one bench, and the cleaners are dumping on it dirty bedding and towels. Bed linen and towels old and weared, towels that were once white, in spots and in the color of grey-beige rather, about a towel in the toilet for feet I am silent at all. Cleaning is none and is to replace towels and garbage, in six days never changed bed linen! We didn't leave the tea, not for what, in my opinion. And finally - apotheosis, it is eviction. This morning, the glass with the match tea was accidentally turned over, sprays hit the towel and the sheets. Only after my reasonable comment that hotel towels due to their multiple use by different people should be washed exclusively in the washing machine and at a sufficiently high temperature, agreed. To be informed, I also sprayed my clothes, washed it without trouble with cold water, manually using the usual gel for the shower. If the hotel is trying to change bed linen and towels at the expense of guests, well, good luck with other guests. We were in different countries, in many hotels, but we faced a situation like this for the first time. Frankly speaking, for this money you can find many significantly better options in this wonderful city of Chiang Mai.

Enthusiastic and kindness staff My booking was cancelled because of problem with my credit card, but hotel' staff help me to dissolve the situation. Finally I get my room and pay in cheapness.The Superior room are very clean. The location is not far from the Night bazaar shopping street and food shop. Only 5 minutes by walk.

Stayed as part of a group tour. Hotel was comfortable and was debating a 3 or 4 star but the rating of 4 star being very good pushed it down. I would say this is a good hotel and in a central location. Rooms were large with a massive bed! Equally very comfy too. Bathroom was ok with shower only at shoulder height. Facilities were okay but could only use pool first day as it closed for remainder of stay as had turned a rather disturbing shade of green. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They had located some lost property and promptly returned it. Night market was straight out the back door so ideal in the evenings!

Location is an easy 10 minute walk to moat and main gate of ‘old city’. However located in a quiet residential area, so away from traffic and night noise. Even a neighborly rooster to welcome the day! Each room is a corner room, with yes, a narrow terrace (good for cloths drying). Rooms are large, bright, clean, good a/c, mini fridge, soap and shampoo. No tea kettle, but there is hot water, coffee and tea in lobby area. Lobby/reception area is open and airy. Comfortable - great place to review day with a cold drink or plan day with a coffee. I loved the sounds of children singing and reciting their lessons from the nearby school I stayed 3 nights, went to pai and returned for another 2 nights. Staff is always available, helpful, spoke English, can arrange tours and such.

Very cost-effective and very convenient. There are small shops on the way out, barbecues next to it, and many Chinese people when returning home. There are fried dough sticks for breakfast in the morning. Suitable for short-term and long-term rentals. It's very close to the ancient city and the airport. There are also small shopping malls nearby.

To be honest, we had booked out stay at another hotel inside the old city walls, but that hotel cancelled on us last minute (we were already in Thailand!) and we were rebooked here into the Sridonchai hotel. At first I was less than thrilled to be staying outside the city walls, but I have to say, this place definitely charmed me! The location isn't bad, it is a short walk to the walls, but you are close to the night market and a bunch of bistelin shops and restaurants, so it is actually quite a good location. The hotel is very cute and my wife and I loved the style of it. The staff were friendly, and overall, we enjoyed spending part of our honeymoon here. Definitely recommend!

Nice location, restaurants and bars within walking distance. Street parking. Checked-in and decided to leave and book into another hotel shortly after - concerned about security, staff left for dinner leaving hotel wide open, we were the only guest. Staff pleasant - reception had a bed in and was used by the staff. Somewhat dated, tap didn’t work in bathroom, shower poor, shared fridge outside the room. TV has number of channels, could connect to Netflix (needed own user/password). Lots of mosquitoes. Asked for refund (paid 4 nights) - offered to pay first night, refused.
