"Positives- —Brand new hotel! Everything is in pristine condition. —Very central location on the Dr main boulevard in the city - most of what you want to see is within a 15 minute walking distance or less —Nice design esthetic - modern minimalist I’d say. —Great water pressure —Plentiful hot water —Friendly Front Desk staff —Being that the hotel is in the central part of city - lots of restaurants, coffee shops, stores, and even a small mall across the street —Free 24/7 gourmet coffee & tea. I’m not even a coffee drinker, but used it all the time —Nice size rooms —Lots of electric plugs (non USB though) —Great WiFi —Nice breakfast buffet (website said it was 6E extra, but it was included). Full selection including eggs, meats, cheeses, yogurt, fruit juice, oatmeal with fruit. I absolutely loved that they had real eggs, and not the typical stuff made with powered eggs. —Lots of pics on the walls showing old time Chișinău —Forget something? Besides there being a small mall across the street, 1-2 blocks away is the Central Market with “a thousand” booths selling virtually everything. —The Front Desk will arrange a private tour of the city (very reasonable price). Negatives- —Although located on a main street, it is slightly set back and behind a metal gate - it’s hard to find and also see it’s a hotel. —No phone in the room (such as to call the Front Desk) —No cable TV. Yes, there is a TV in the room, but it’s only preloaded with the various steaming services to load your own account. —The room has black out curtains plus a white sheer. Strangely, there was no middle part in the white sheer so you could not open the curtains to clearly see the outside (and the white sheer could not be moved aside) Summary- —There are free walking tours during the high season, and on the weekends during the low season. There’s also a city tour via a trolly (bus) operating on the weekends. —I would absolutely stay here again!"

Luna Hotel Hotels in Chisinau

Luna Hotel

"The perfect hotel. Excellent location, close to the center without being noisily located. Easy & quick walk to the center, with about everywhere, sights, buildings, statues, the museums, galleries, restaurants, monuments & parks, lake, all perfectly walkable. Airport is 30 mins drive away tops. Bus 30 operates to the center very cheaply, but beware of the taxis, most do not want/like euro or usd. The hotel is clean, warm, comfortable, Lio, chief receptionist, welcoming, warm, helpful. Rooms are very adequate, quiet, safe, warm. I would highly recommend Kuna Hotel for your stay, & if I visited again I'd book again."

"Hotel is nice. Reception is perfect. Only 1 problem is the security guard. Some context: I am solo traveler who goes out at night to go to clubs. The hotel has the security guard who is an old guy. He is good and chill. But he will not open the door after 11:59 pm. This was not written anywhere until I arrived. This is a nightmare. Imagine going out at night, chilling with my friends because it's my holiday and I have to wait till 8 am to open the door. He just locks the door and refuses to open it. If you try to open it yourself, he is going to literally fight and kill you even tho you are"

"Perfect location. However, several times didn’t have hot water in the room. And several times cleaners opened our door when there was a sign on the door, - do not disturb. Very low noise proof and I hear our neighbors"

City Park Hotel ★★★★
"The No. 30 bus stop is just ten meters from the airport terminal; the fare seems to be 6 li. It's a seamless connection. Get off at the park stop and it's a ten-minute walk to the hotel. At the end of August, it's still over 30 degrees Celsius where we live, but here it's already early autumn. The leaves are turning yellow, many people are wearing thick coats, and the street breeze is cool. My room was fantastic—very clean and tidy. Although not large, it had two large windows at right angles, allowing for a cross breeze when opened. It happened to be the FESTIVALUL DOR DE CHISINAU festival that day, and the festival venue was right outside the hotel. Many children were filling in their favorite colors on plain whiteboards. The main stage was just a hundred meters from the window; I could see the straight, bustling path and the main stage at its end. In the late afternoon, young people sang and danced energetically on stage, and as night fell, the performance switched to traditional song and dance by middle-aged people. The square was filled with attentive spectators enjoying the show. Despite having planned this vacation in late June, a young female employee at the WIZZ AIR check-in counter at Bucharest OTP Airport in Romania refused to give me a boarding pass because I didn't have a Moldovan visa. This resulted in the cancellation of my round-trip tickets and my booking for the Bernardazzi Grand Hotel, leading to a loss of over 1500 RMB that I couldn't get a refund. According to international agreements, I could have entered Moldova visa-free with a Schengen visa, but WIZZ AIR's customer service representative responsible for complaints and claims has been denying and making excuses, and then unilaterally cut off contact with me. To this day, they haven't apologized or offered compensation, which is probably why they don't publish their customer service number. A month later, I changed my departure point, coming from Istanbul, Turkey. Just like last time, I didn't have a Moldovan visa and used a Schengen visa instead. Thanks to the professional and responsible staff at the headquarters of Turkish Airlines, which has the most global routes, I boarded smoothly and arrived in the country's lovely capital. The city is not large, and the people are reserved and disciplined on the outside but free-thinking on the inside. They are friendly to tourists, and the chocolates are delicious and cheap. Finally, in this home of wine, I tasted wine and delicious food, fulfilling my wish. All the wonderful things I encountered here made me forget the unpleasantness before. The hotel bed was very comfortable. My time here was short but very enjoyable. I hope to come again and visit the Milestii Mici wine cellars, which stretch for 200 kilometers underground."

Courtyard Chisinau ★★★★
"Really great stay at Courtyard Chisinau. The hotel is well located, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the city view was a nice bonus. Stayed for 4 nights on a business trip and it ticked all the boxes — reliable Wi-Fi, great gym, and the staff were genuinely warm and attentive. Breakfast was also really good. Chisinau might not be the most obvious business destination but this hotel makes it a very pleasant one. Would happily stay here again!"

Hotel Lidia ★★★
"The entire 'Hotel' is filthy, literally smells like a sewer. We paid before we arrived, after setting foot inside we asked for a refund which the very rude owner Lidia refused, playing dumb saying " oh how can I do that you paid by card" my verbatim response was "GO to the atm and take cash out" We had to buy our own cleaning products to clean the room. Toilet was leaking from the base. Shower broken. The water was coming out of the hose of the shower. Also what little water came out of the hose was freezing cold. No hot water. I can only surmise that the positive reviews are paid for because there is no way that anyone who actually made the mistake of booking and staying here would have a single good word to say about this place and staff"
