Meghauli Serai, Taj Safari, is a stunning gateway into the wild beauty of Chitwan National Park. Our stay was filled with unforgettable moments—from close encounters with majestic tigers and one-horned rhinos to watching hornbills and kingfishers take flight across the river at dawn. The variety of birdlife alone is reason to visit. The safari jeeps are the best in the park—open, comfortable, and designed to offer an immersive and safe experience. Our naturalist, Sandip, brought the jungle to life with stories, insights, and deep local knowledge passed down through generations. Our driver, Santosh, was equally fantastic—skilled, sharp-eyed, and always respectful of the animals and their habitat. The lodge itself is serene and luxurious. We stayed in a Rapti Villa with its own private pool and sweeping views of the river. The spa is a hidden gem—peaceful, professional, and surrounded by a breathtaking lotus and water lily pond. The culinary experience is exceptional. The chef is incredibly talented and happy to tailor each meal to your preferences. Much of the produce is grown onsite in their organic garden, and every dish we had was both fresh and beautifully prepared. And don’t miss the fresh lemongrass martini—Sanjay crafts it perfectly using lemongrass snipped from the garden right in front of you. This was more than a trip—it was a transformative experience, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
