Hotel Aikawa

"We had the best stay at Aikawa, I can only recommend this hotel. It is new and modern and has to be the best hotel in Sauraha. From the first moment we arrived we were so well taken care of. We got an upgrade to a beautiful suite which has a fantastic layout and is just really well thought through. It has a huge bath tub as well as a rain shower and modern, high quality furniture. The pool on level 1 is so inviting and they will bring towels and even drinking water to the lounge chair. The garden has just been completed and offers a bar with a lounge area, table tennis, basketball or volleyball (can't remember which). There is also a spa which we didn't use though as we were too busy. The restaurant was really good and true to the hotels name I had sushi which was really fantastic. Tours can be booked as well. On a side note, our jeep tour of Chitwan national park was quite disappointing because we didn't see many animals and the tour guide (who was not the hotel's tour guide) was only speaking in Hindu to the Indian tourist but of course that wasn't the hotel's fault. The staff is probably the best thing about the hotel, they were so friendly and welcoming. Especially concierge Milan went out of his way to make sure we had a fantastic stay, he even went to the elephant breeding centre with us, which we truly enjoyed - much better than the jeep safari. Overall we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, it was a memorable stay for us."

Food is very tasty, service stuff Apeksha, Anish, Sachin and Sujit in timmur restaurant are very professional and take good care of food needs and maintain good ambience in the restaurant. The restaurant is very clean and descent. Overall stay, rooms are very good and clean, we really enjoyed our stay."

"I had a fantastic experience! Not only was the price reasonable and the hotel clean and hygienic, but the environment was also excellent, the facilities met standards, and the service was even more satisfying (especially the head waiter and other staff at the front desk). I would definitely choose to stay here again if given the chance. This hotel is popular with Chinese guests, so I suggest hiring more Mandarin-speaking staff."

Sapana Village Lodge

"My mum and I visited Sapana for a wonderful 4 nights. Sapana exceeded our expectations, with surreal views, peaceful atmosphere and the most welcoming of staff. Our room was very clean and in keeping with the ethos of the lodge, it all felt very grounding and natural. As for facilities and services; we couldn’t have asked for more. We enjoyed daily excursions, some being full day trips visiting native animals in their natural homes, whilst other days we did shorter trips visiting with the indigenous Tharu people, where we helped in their fields and shared special moments. Our whole trip was made easy and exciting by the help from naturist Dinesh Giri. Dinesh became a true friend where nothing was too much to ask. He went above and beyond to make our stay just as we like. He would often say “it’s needs to be perfect for our respected guests”. His knowledge and guidance is something that is truly special and he is a huge asset to the Sapana team as well as all of the staff that we were always laughing and conversing with. Learning about the intention behind the creation of the lodge made our stay that more important. Unlike other stays, there is true contribution back to the people who matter most in the community. Feeling like you can help as well as just benefit can make your soul feel a lot more comfortable with travel. Thank you to the whole Team, for an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend."
