Ballinalacken Castle Country House Hotel

Perfect start to our Ireland adventure! We had crazy flight changes and Cecilia was so kind working with us. The hotel is well appointed and every area so comfortable. We loved the castle tour! So much to see inside the castle and learn about how people lived there. The views from our room were spectacular, and we loved walking the grounds outside of the hotel. Delicious dinner and breakfast. We hope to come back and stay again!

Decklin, Cecelia and Daniel were wonderful hosts! They were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The guest rooms were very clean and comfortable and the grounds were absolutely lovely! The food was outstanding and we enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners in the hotel. Nothing disappointed. One of my favorite things was to enjoy my morning coffee in bed which had a view of the cliffs in the distance and wildflowers in the foreground. The castle tour gave a glimpse back into history which I really enjoyed. Doolin is a short drive from the hotel and we enjoyed the quaint homes, shops and pubs which also served amazing food. In the evenings there is live Irish music and a fun, friendly vibe. The Cliffs of Moher is a short drive and a must see! The coastal walk was closed when we visited but it was still so beautiful with the area that was open. We took the Doolin Ferry to the Aran Islands which I recommend doing. Innis Mor is fascinating and definitely added a layer of history and charm to our trip. Ballinalacken Castle Hotel was the perfect base for our 4 day stay and we enjoyed it so much. We loved Ballinalacken Castle property and the lovely couple who run the castle. The city of Doonlin is quiet and quaint. The scenery is absolutely amazing including the coastline just minutes away. You are close to the Cliffs of Mohrer for a beautiful climb. Also take the Castle tour, a piece of unexpected history to take in. We will be back!

This is a beautiful hotel in a fabulous location. Here we found everything we needed, a friendly welcome, a lovely room with a view & delicious food. Easy to find and close to all the beautiful locations that North Clare has to offer. Thank you everyone at Ballinalacken Castle. Susan & Tim

What a wonderful place to experience the Wild Atlantic! The accommodations were classy & comfortable and the staff was so helpful & courteous. Make sure you take advantage of the Castle Tour and take the time to enjoy the terrific food from the kitchen. Both the dinners and breakfasts were exceptional. Can't wait to return and bring other family members!

Our stay at this hotel was an unforgettable experience. The room was beautiful, the beds incredibly comfortable, the dinner was excellent in a beautiful dining room with delicious food and a large selection of excellent Irish whiskey, the service at dinner was attentive and very nice. The breakfast was delicious and pleasant. Overall, a very romantic environment, attentive and nice staff and the owner, who prepared a private and unforgettable tour of the castle for us. We will long remember our best accommodation during our Irish road trip, and we will definitely come back here. THANK YOU
