We stayed at Ballinalacken Castle Country House Hotel for one night, and it was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome—it felt more like visiting a friend’s beautiful home than staying in a hotel. The setting is stunning: peaceful, scenic, and full of charm. We stayed in Room 2, the Castle Suite, which was fabulous—spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable, and with the nicest bed we’ve slept in during any stay. The hotel was also wonderful with our 3-year-old son, which meant a lot to us. It felt like a very safe and family-friendly environment, without ever losing that peaceful, relaxed atmosphere. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, and both meals were beautifully prepared and delicious. A lovely bonus was the pre-dinner tour of the castle, which was genuinely interesting and added something unique to the stay. This place is a hidden gem—warm, quiet, comfortable, and full of character. We would 100% return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in a truly special location.

Very nice experience, great food and great beer! Homey feel and great views Rooms were very nice and comfortable. Will stay there again in the future trips, must see the Doolin cave.

Lovely hotel in the countryside. I stayed with my cousin, we had three nights here and had breakfast and dinner for most of them. Lovely menus. Cosy well-appointed rooms, common areas are lovely too - the bar is very small but inviting. Take the tour in the evenings with the owner of the old castle, Declan does a great guide.

We stayed here for one night and it was great. Takes a while to get there through winding roads and is is secluded. Great view of the ocean and tour of the castle was better than expected. Sunset at night was spectacular over the ocean. Staff was very friendly and we would come back and stay again. Definitely a recommended stay!

The hotel is on a hill that gives you perfect views of the ocean, islands, and the Cliffs of Moher. It was a gorgeous place to relax in the morning. Every spot of the hotel and grounds are immaculate and lovely. They also gave a tour of the castle ruins and told us about its history. The service, food, and room were all perfect - it was such a treat for us.

We had a lovely time in the country manor. The dinner and breakfast were delicious. The tour of the old tower was a special treat. The pub is precious and the rooms really comfortable. I highly recommend the wildflower candle made locally as well!

It was a fantastic way to wrap up our trip after visiting Cliffs of Moher on our last day, only wish we had budgeted a bit more time at Ballinalacken as it was so pretty and relaxing. The rooms are enormous and literally every window had a beautiful view. We made time for the quick tour of the castle ruins which was also really cool then had a wonderful dinner. All the staff members were very welcoming, too!
