Gomersal Park Hotel & Spa ★★★
"This hotel was great, it was cosoe to the motorway as I need to be close by to get to the airport the next morning after my stay"
Gateway Lodge ★★
"Broken lamp, never replaced. Dirty kitchen, blue bottle flies everywhere. Horrible, aggressive neighbour who threw dog mess at the house because he wrongly accused my dogs of messing outside his house. Sketchy internet, no lounge. Very small rooms. Over priced in my opinion. The best thing about this place is Darren who runs it for the owner, he’s really responsive and will go out of his way to help. It’s basic and it doesn’t pretend to be anything else. Just overpriced in my opinion and the kitchen needs sorting. Not safe to cook food there in my opinion!"
Premier Inn Bradford South ★★★
"Great welcome for children and a clean and tidy room with all facilities expected. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast!"
Gomersal Lodge Hotel ★★★
"Upon arrival, I was really impressed by how beautiful the grounds were. Absolutely lovely and very peaceful. Plenty of parking, and the hotel looked nice from the outside. I went into reception to find no one there, rang the bell on the counter, and no one appeared. Absolutely silent. I was about to ring a number on the counter when a man wandered in and asked if I was checking in. He was pleasant enough and showed me to my room, offering to help with luggage, etc. My room was nice. The carpet was wet but was informed a previous guest had a spillage, so it had been cleaned. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and there was a large fan, which was appreciated. No complaints about the room. Unfortunately, what I wasn’t made aware of was that the hotel was used for emergency accommodation. Upon arriving back after an evening out with friends at about 10.15, I decided to sit outside on the benches for a little while. I noticed a man staring at me and waving from the hotel doorway. He approached me and appeared to be under the influence, wanting a cigarette, which I told him I didn’t have. He sat close to me, and although he wasn’t threatening, he was asking me questions about how long I was there for, what room I was in, and telling me how he had been placed there for emergency accommodation. I felt very vulnerable as the hotel is very rural and no one else was around. He told me he had to go and check something and would return. I went into reception hoping to find someone to just inform them I’d been approached but no one was there. No staff anywhere on site that I could see. I locked my door and tried to go to bed. For the next few hours it was awful, a woman outside my door shouting down the phone to someone for a long time, people running up and down stairs, lots of shouting and huge bangs into the early hours. Eventually it quietened down and I went to sleep. The next morning I went to check out and yet again no staff, no one there at all. I put my key in the box and left. In all I understand completely that emergency accommodation is required for people and that they are under no obligation to inform guests of this but as a woman on my own and the fact they don’t appear to have staff on site I believe they should have disclosed this to me when I checked in. I wouldn’t stay again which is a shame as the hotel itself is lovely."
