A ninety six year old was given a room with a step to the toilet, not suitable. Luckily there wasn't an accident. Receptionist was also unduly brusque to guest with English as a second language. I would think twice about using this venue for these reasons.

Attended my Aunts wedding in August and it really popped off. The people who served our food really slayed and special thanks to our fav bar waitress who made us cocktails off the menu (we didn’t catch her name but she had sick piercings 😎). Our room was vibey and the free biscuits really ate and left no crumbs. All in all 10/10 would return mainly for the staff we had 🥰

Attended an evening reception here for our friends wedding. Beautiful venue with gorgeous, well kept grounds. gorgeous stairwells also. Food is an excellent quality, staff friendly & plenty of space for people to enjoy themselves. Plenty of rooms to wander in and enjoy. Bar on the expensive side - but otherwise a fabulous venue with ample parking.

Here is a beautiful 170 year old building with so much character , the room we were in was called Egret and was beautifully decorated and very spacious. The staff were amazing and very helpful. This is amazing wedding venue to who ever wants to get married well worth it

Attended a family wedding at this wonderful wedding venue. Everything went really well. The ceremony was inside - it actually would have been warm enough outside but I don’t think my nephew wanted to risk it! The actual ceremony was wonderful (I didn’t cry until the end!) We then had a break for photos when the prosecco flowed freely and the canapés were delicious and we were lucky enough to have weather to sit outside for a while. The wedding breakfast was held in the conservatory, and the food was hot, delicious and served very quickly. We were lucky enough to have a room overnight, and it was an accessible one (I am disabled) which was amazing. The bed was so big that I slept like a log! The evening event was great, with all the usual sweets , photo booths and our evening food was fish or sausage and chips served in a takeaway carton which we all enjoyed (veggie sausages for my husband and daughter) The music was typical wedding music which everyone enjoyed - I forgot to mention that there was a couple singing when we were all outside - they were really good too. In the morning there was a lovely buffet breakfast and time to say our fond farewells. Just a wonderful weekend

Not a wedding review, so cannot attest, to whether or not, it would be a fabulous venue for that purpose (but can only assume it would). I have used this venue for the last few years, as a training venue for my clients using the Library Room. IMHO, one of the better training venues I use. Friendly and professional staff. food is very good, and the whole atmosphere lovely. Cannot be many training venues, where you get Deer peering through the window in the afternoon. Communication wise, pretty straightforward, to the point, and easy payment option.

We actually got married here in July 2022 but I could review that far back. it's taken this long to write something as we are truly devastated about the whole day. We turned up and the room wasn't ready for me to get ready in so we were waiting around for this, the lady on reception was so far up her own backside and rude. The venue looks incredible but that's as far as it went. The staff were running around and trying their hardest but you know things have gone wrong when you find the wedding organizer in the kitchen working. It was one of the hottest days of the year and there wasn't even water ready on the tables. 4 people asked for the wine to be served and just put it on the tables if they are understaffed as people were starting to buy their own drinks which is highly embarrassing for us. The food was average and it took 3 hours to get through all the courses, I have never been to a wedding where people leave the dining area between courses as it took so long. We put everything we had financially into this wedding for it to be a complete flop. Avoid this place, don't waste your time or money.

We were there for a family wedding- everything was perfect. The setting is pure Downton Abby/Bridgerton, the staff were amazing, the food is delicious and the guest rooms so incredibly comfortable. We didn’t want to leave! The staff made sure that everything went perfectly to plan. There was good disabled access throughout the site as well which for an old building was impressive. I cannot imagine a better venue for a wedding.
