Just returned from a 7 night stay at this hotel, which was very relaxed and enjoyable. The hotel is clean and tidy, and the staff very helpful and friendly. We stayed on a b&b basis, and the breakfast buffet more than met our needs. In fact, due to the location of the hotel, we chose to eat there on 4 of our 7 nights, and again, the food was excellent. We enjoyed the pool area too, with plenty of sunbeds for everyone, and a good choice of pools to use, which were clean and well maintained. However, there were a couple of negatives which cost the hotel a 5* rating in my opinion, and in the interests of fairness, I feel these have to be pointed out. The hotel is out on its own on the outskirts of Arguineguin, and we literally couldn't find anywhere to go at night, so had to book a taxi to go into Anfi, a couple of miles away, where we found a number of bars and a superb Indian restaurant, which we really enjoyed. We were on the 6th floor of the hotel, with a wonderful sea-view, but unfortunately our neighbours on either side were smokers, and seemed to spend all their time on the balcony smoking. As a result, we couldn't enjoy our balcony as much as we would have liked, due to their smoke drifting our way, and making our balcony impossible to use. Perhaps the hotel could address this problem by offering a non-smoking section in the booking process! However, these minor points in no way impacted on our enjoyment, and we all agreed that we would be happy to use the Sunwing again for future holidays.

A nice hotell with Nice enough rooms, we were missing some waterslides for the kids to be picky, the elevator system is an insane joke that will annoy you 😵‍💫 a bit of distance from surrounding areas but all in all a good place to stay :)

We visited Sunwing in May 2025. We had the most amazing holiday! The hotel is SPOTLESSLY clean! We were located on the 7th Floor. Had a lovely room with double bed, and then 2 sofas that converted into very comfy beds for the children. Good sized balcony looking out onto fantastic views of the hotel area and out to sea. Check in was efficient and simple, we didn't have to wait around at all. We selected the Bed & Breakfast option for this holiday (usually go all inclusive but find it restricts you to the hotel). The breakfast buffet was great, fab selection of foods with live cooking stations. The only issue I would say were the pigeons but staff would “shoo” them away. Always plenty of tables for you to choose from either inside or out. On the first evening, we used the A la Carte restaurant in the hotel “Miguel’s”. The menu was easily located using a QR code. The food was then prepared and served to you at your table. We could not fault a single meal we had in Miguel’s, and did opt to eat there most nights although bed and breakfast as the price was ridiculously cheap. You could pick up a delicious smash burger for €13 including chips. They also had other meals such as steak, fish dishes and plenty of pizza and pasta dishes. The deal was for every paying adult you got a child’s meal completely free!! Our full meals would come to €30-€40 each time which was crazy for the quality of food and service. Again fantastic range of children’s meals available and they also offered some adult meals in a smaller portion! One member of staff in particular who was on the bar most evenings went above and beyond during our stay! He was super friendly and fantastic with the children!! Again drinking was relatively cheap, with good range of wines, spirits and cocktails available. We watched the entertainment most nights it was on. Our children loved the mascots Lollo and Bernie. They would walk around the pool also during the day offering children hi5s and cuddles which was super cute! The pools were fantastic. All heated which was great as you didn’t get the shock you normally do when entering a cold pool. Location is right on the sea front so occasionally would get a sea breeze which was welcoming as it helped to cool down a little. We had some really good days out. Hotel is fantastic location for Gran Canaria’s amazing bus service. Buses are coaches and very frequent. You are able to go to most places on the island from the stops. We visited Puerto Rico, maspalomas, and playa del ingles using the coach service. Prices were very reasonable again for a family of 4! We used the passenger boat which went from Argenguin to Anfi del mar, Puerto Rico and then Puerto Mogan. Worth a visit to all these places. Puerto Mogan has a fantastic market on a Friday and most of the store holders are also at the market in argenguin on a Tuesday! Worth a visit. Anfi and Mogan were our favourite places we vistited. Both picture perfect towns with plenty of eateries and things

First time staying here and we had a great week away! Could not fault the hotel. The customer service from all the staff was excellent, often going above and beyond. We arrived late in the evening after the dinner service and went to the bar and they made us all a sandwich, which was very much appreciated. The hotel was spotlessly clean. Everything thought about, even the little things like an extra chair on the balcony because there was 3 of us in the room. We had a lovely room that overlooked the pool and views of the sea. The food was lovely, a good choice every day, always something different to try, lots of fresh fruit and salads. I'm a very fussy eater but always found a variety of things to choose from. My son loved the churros for breakfast. Even when the dining room was busy, there was never a queue to get what you wanted. You could help yourself to drinks. The cocktails were also amazing from the bar. What was lovely was that we didn't have to worry about getting up early to get a sunbed, there was always plenty to choose from, even later on in the day. Also lots of parasols so plenty of shade. The pools were great and I think heated because they were a very pleasant temperature, no braving it to jump in. If you have you kids, the kids club and pool disco, evening disco looked fab. There was entertainment most evenings, they were great. There is a handy shop on site. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel so you can easily visit surrounding areas. I would most definitely recommend this hotel. So much so that we have already booked to return in August!

This hotel is clean and close to bus routes. Staff were nice. Breakfast was good, lots of choice. Drinks were fine and bar areas clean. Plenty of sunbeds. Nice pools. The hotel is on the seafront but not much of a beach. Bars and restaurants nearby, just a short walk. I would have given more stars but it took too long for them to resolve an issue with our room. We had asked for single beds and a low floor but got a high floor and double bed. The sofa in the lounge was hard and no bedding. Had to involve the travel agent and tour operator. We couldn't move rooms, but thankfully they sorted the beds out. We had a nice room and lounge with a good size balcony and stunning sea view. Cleaned well most days. The holiday overall was great. Mostly Scandinavian families, children were all well behaved, and all were friendly. It is a good hotel for families.

MEALS We did not choose all inclusive, but instead cooked every meal except one lunch and two dinners in the tiny kitchen in our room. Since we had a 1,5 year-old we felt that meals at the restaurant would be difficult and not worth the cost. I would make the same decision again although if the children were older I would probably go with the “inclusive” option with 5 out of 7 days of meals. We did eat at Miguel’s Kitchen once and food was ok, not great. MAIN POSITIVES 1. AMAZING STAFF taking care of the children and performing shows five out of seven days. Our 5 year old loved the activities ranging from mystery solving to t-shirt painting. He also spent a lot of time in the play area, although not very big it was fun. Many activities were for 3 years and older and the age limit was very strict (children 2 years and 10 months weren’t allowed. 2. ROOMS WERE CLEAN and well looked after. Room cleaning was great and the hotel was generally in a good state. Make sure to book seafront view, it was very nice to have. I didn’t experience the same issues with the sound coming from stage in the evenings as some others seem to have had. Sure, you could hear the sound clearly in the room, but my kids had no trouble going to sleep. The kitchen in the room was well equipped and even had a coffee filter for multiple use! 3. GREAT FACILITIES with gym that was well enough equipped as well as yoga/pilates classes. The swimming pools were big and heated and with a lot of sunbeds. We also spent some time at the big chess board next to the swimming pool and in the game room. MAIN NEGATIVES 1. THE KITCHEN WAS TINY although it was well equipped. It was difficult to cook any sort of meal, which is maybe the whole point. 2. THE DISTANCE TO SHOPS and restaurants were not far for an adult, but going there with kids was a bit of a challenge. If you do not have all inclusive, make sure to plan your shopping ahead of time! 3. The mini-shop was VERY EXPENSIVE, prices generally double that of any little shop in Arguineguin 600 metres away.

Disappointed room air con is useless. Expected better from a Jet 2 approved hotel we are here now the first night we had someone come to the room to try a new card for the electric and after speaking to reception they promised to fix. Room temp is between 23 and 26 degrees cannot sleep and having a heart condition being this hot at night isn’t good. I would not put a bad review as everything else is great but just to save money they restrict the rooms air con to save money rather than resolve and leave the rooms red hot and not prepared to resolve it. Won’t be coming back and will go somewhere will sufficient air con for guests.

We were looking forward to our holiday with our 2 children 10 and 6. We had booked as the surroundings ie the village and sea looked lovely. We found this nice and the pools we very suitable for families. We could relax by the toddler pool with ease. The morning we arrived I was shocked that the glasses at the snack bar were not clean. The food was very average and not much variety sadly. The entertainment again was ok but nothing too extravagant. The bedrooms are very odd the childrens bed we found unsafe and not to the best of quality and cleanliness we would have liked. We accepted it wasn't going to be luxurious however, the icing on the cake was one day my daughter was literally starving due to lack of food options for small children. I missed the snack bar times and asked for a left over sandwich the staff were unbelievably rude and were pointing fingers speaking in Spanish and complaining this is unacceptable and can't happen again. I wanted to cry from anger and if I didn't need the food for my daughter they would have seen a very furious side to me!!! The only nice thing from staff was a lovely man at reception who let us keep our room for a little longer. After one week I was more then ready to come home. Sadly can't recommend.
