Kumara Serenoa by Lopesan Hotels
"Everything good for the price should include everything included"
Mirador Maspalomas by Dunas
"The hotel could use some improvements. The furniture was a bit worn, and the mattress sagged slightly in the middle. The bathtub in the bathroom needed to be replaced, as some parts were already rusty. The worst part was that the jacuzzi water was cold, which made it quite unpleasant. The swimming pool water was actually warmer than the jacuzzi. The food was generally good, although it could benefit from a little more variety, both in the restaurant and especially at the pool bar. However, I have to say that for a 3-star hotel, the service was close to 4-star standards. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. It was very good!"

"Definitely do not recommend this place at all !! Worst holiday I have had in a while. The place is falling apart had cockroaches and damp and mould in my room whilst heavily pregnant. Tried to speak to management and was moved 3 times to a different room and then when issue still wasn’t resolved I requested a refund and the manager screamed in my face and refused. The food is leftovers mixed with fresh in the afternoon bread is stale and not a lot of options/repetitive unhelpful staff and serious health risks and concerns claims there a 4 star establishment more like a 1 star at best !! Would not recommend for families with children or people who struggle to walk due to the lifts breaking a few times and had to walk up multiple steps. Location is ok but nothing much going on taxis or local busses to get anywhere and not much nightlife or activities going on inside the hotel at night. Save your time and money and choose another hotel to avoid being disappointed pictures are nothing like the hotel.worst holiday ever"

"Clean apartment complex. Unfriendly check-in. Excellent value for money."
Suites & Villas by Dunas
"The most things were good. The only negative is that they say a verry good hotel for families only the 18+ zones are to big outside. We loved to eat outside but due the 18+ zone to many places for family. The loved to have 18+ zone for 4 tables occupied from the 12 and the family inside. Dunas opened maspalomas villages for the 18+ and they need to leaves suites & Village for family"
Hotel Riu Papayas - All Inclusive

"Stayed here over the Xmas holidays and found the place to be lovely! In particular the staff were 5*, from reception, hospitality staff and cleaning team... all excellent and they work HARD! My room was looked after every day, the bar and restaurant staff were so nice and attentive, and the hotel grounds were great. I noticed that the cleaning team were always on it.. There have been some reviews of bugs.. I saw none..!! There were also reports of the buffet not being perfect, but there was always such a huge selection and especially love the rosé wine on tap! Reception team were wonderful and would have a cab waiting for you in minutes.. it's €7 either way to Faro or Yumbo in a cab and there's also a free bus that comes when it likes. My only comment would be that children should be accompanied by a responsible adult in the restaurant and bar areas.. screaming, out of control kids almost caused accidents more than once running full pelt across the patio area. Again, thank you team for a lovely stay!"
Apartamentos Olympia
"I was dreading coming after I read the reviews, what can I say but they were pretty spot on, this place is dire and a million miles away from the gleaming photos that are advertised. Firstly on arrival there are just lock boxes with card in you get instructions, sounds simple, but they key cards did not work and the next door apartment didn't have a card at all when they arrived. Several phone calls later to and more than 2 hours we got cards that worked, they did let us in the room remotely but we couldn't leave till we got cards. No reception and some of the numbers given just ring out. So into the room and it is beyond basic, beds are springy but have clean white sheets. Furniture in general is so worn the sofa is completely filthy, the bathroom shower tray is just cracks and the shower tiles are so old and dirty, feels like you will come out dirtier than you went in. Everything needs renewing there is no care here for their apartments. Thr kitchen has the very very basic of equipment. At least the fridge is cold. The only saving grace is the view which is gorgeous and the cooling breeze from the sea. So we are going to put up with it for a week because of the view. Covered the sofa in a blanket because I couldn't bring myself to sit on it. If you haven't booked then find somewhere else, 1* might even be too generous. The cleaning lady is an absolute gem and tried her best to help."
Salobre Hotel Resort & Serenity
"This was my third time at Salobre and it won’t be my last. I love everything about this hotel. It’s beautiful, clean, smells incredible and the people who work there are wonderful."
Resort Cordial Santa Águeda & Perchel Beach Club
"We arrived on a Saturday afternoon, and were able to access our duplex apartment straight away. We are family of 5 - Mum, Dad? 18 year old Daughter, 14 son and 5 year old son. I had read the reviews before going and found certain points really helpful. Firstly, we hired a car from Cicar prior to arrival, this was a breeze dropped off with a child seat the day after arrival to the hotel and collected from the Hotel 8 days later, we just left the keys with the hotel staff to hand over. Driving in Gran Canaria was amazing, it’s so easy as all areas on the coast are reached my 2 major roads. I would highly suggest a car as it works out so much cheaper than taxi’s. It cost us £195 for 8 days, so much cheaper than the uk to hire and fill up with fuel. We loved exploring all the different beaches. Ok so the hotel is in a semi remote location, but this is what we wanted I could not stay in places like Puerto Rico it’s too busy for us. We really liked the WhatsApp messaging service for both the hotel and beach club. So rather than heading over to the beach club for it to open at 11am, I used to message and ask them to let me know when there were 4 single beds available and head over then. We really enjoyed the hotel infinity pool though, there were beds available every day, but 1 which was a Saturday. This I feel is down to the fact that hotel guests have to pay for the beach club beds at the weekends (at a 50% discount) . I did book ahead for the weekends, but ended up cancelling as we opted for a beach day instead. The spar shop on site is great. Took us a few days to realise that the pizzas in the huge fridge can be cooked in the spars oven for you. The coffee and ice cream shop based within the spar are lovely and responsibly priced too ( really missing these now we are home) The hotels surrounding area gets busy at the weekends with campervans. I read a few reviews were people had noted these people as travellers, as someone who was a van in the uk it is clear that this area is a huge pull for surfers, who turn up for the weekend. It’s really lovely to watch the families turn up and surf together. There is a lovely walk to the front of the hotel by the sea, as you look at the sea head to the right. You will come to a small car park, head across this and head into the little town centre there is a beautiful restaurant called La mar Salada the food is beautiful and the cheesecake is the best we have ever tasted!! There are some lovely bars and restaurants in that area. There is also a lovely natural pool and beach bar. I know there has also been reviews about the cement factory. Yes it’s there but I actually appreciated the way the the hotel and beach club embraced their designs texture to give “ a nod” to the factory, and the more I looked at the architecture of it altogether the more I really began to like that it was there. I also noted the clear ways that certain aspects of the hotel and beach club were built to block it from certain vie"
