O:LV Fifty Five Hotel - Adults Only

I’ll start by acknowledging the staff—they were genuinely attentive and did their best to accommodate us throughout our stay. Communication was consistent and professional, and every interaction felt sincere. The lobby, while small, has a beautifully designed and intimate feel that sets a welcoming tone. We stayed in a Portrait Suite, and the décor was impressive. However, there were several functional issues that impacted our experience. The room lacked drawers for clothing and offered only a small closet with limited hangers. For my wife, proper lighting in the bathroom is essential for makeup and getting ready, and unfortunately, the lighting was inadequate. The absence of a bathroom exhaust fan also made the space feel stuffy. I agree with previous reviewers regarding the shower door—it didn’t close properly in our suite, and I had to mop up water after every use. The “garden room” featured outdoor lounge chairs, but their purpose wasn’t clear or particularly useful. Noise was another issue: conversations and footsteps from nearby areas were clearly audible, and the constant dragging of furniture from the room above ours was disruptive. We experienced problems with the AC, which we reported to the front desk. Staff responded promptly and informed us that an engineer would fix it remotely. Unfortunately, the issue persisted the next day. We were offered a room change, but declined since we were checking out the following morning. On our last day, we had breakfast and lunch at the property. Again, the staff was courteous, but service was noticeably slow. Our waitress apologized repeatedly, which we appreciated, but the delays were frustrating. We also spent time by the pool and rented a cabana—at $300, it didn’t feel worth the price. Drink service was slow, and the $16 pink lychee cocktail was underwhelming. For that price, I would expect top-shelf alcohol, but it was a local brand that didn’t justify the cost. Would I stay here again? Probably not. While the staff was excellent and the design elements were strong, the overall experience didn’t meet expectations—especially at the price point.

The staff at this place are amazing and very helpful, but the property itself is not what you would expect. Despite charging rates comparable to a five-star hotel, it only delivers a 2 1/2 star experience. Just imagine your impression when you walk into the bathroom and find a bathtub made out of tiles, which is typical of a motel. While the shower is great, most parts of it are falling apart, and there is no closet space. While the hotel is in a good location, I would say they have a long way to go to meet at least a 4 -star standard. I'm telling you, it's a long way because I wouldn’t classify them as even a 3 -star hotel right now.

We visited this hotel for a day and had a great time. Josue from the valet welcomed me, helped me with my luggage, and was very courteous. We will definitely return on our next trip to Puerto Rico. Thanks to Josue and to all the staff.

Our stay has unfortunately been very unpleasant. I’ve really tried to avoid leaving a negative review, but at this point it’s difficult not to. From early in the morning, starting around 8 AM, the noise level has been unbearable. Between the constant vacuuming in the hallways, loud footsteps above and around us, and what honestly sounds like construction or renovations happening next door, we haven’t been able to get any peace or rest during our stay. On top of the noise issues, the service has also been disappointing. We specifically requested towels, and despite waiting, they were never brought to our room. For a place that should provide comfort and hospitality, the lack of responsiveness and consideration for guests has been incredibly frustrating. Overall, this has been one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had, and I cannot recommend it. If I could give it less than 0/10, I would.

Incredible service of all staff at the O:LV. Staff went above and beyond to help and always with a smile. Very welcoming hotel. Everything is very clean and quiet. Overall this is by far the best hotel we stayed in on our travels.I will say downside will be if you in corner room second floor you will hear resturant.
