Decent budget place for a short stay. However if you are looking for something really nice or a longer stay with sparkle then I wouldn’t recommend it. Overall it was good for a quick one night stay and the basic things were available.

We booked 4 rooms for a family celebration at this hotel. The place looks great from the outside and the Japanese bar is also nice. The issue is that the rooms are just not good enough. We had one good one out of 4. Our other rooms were in attics with the bathrooms upstairs and a tiny bedroom space. In fact the room was so small that we couldn’t open an ironing board to press our clothes and there was nowhere to put the cases out of the way. When we asked for an alternative room, we were TOLD in no uncertain terms that it was not possible. Our room was too hot and we had to open the window at night but then couldn’t sleep as the outdoor bar was below with loud music. We just could not recommend it for a comfortable stay. A couple of nice touches, like robe and slippers but the room quality was frankly poor. Breakfast was interesting and nice but was not included in our tariff. It feels like every inch of the indoor and outdoor space has been monetised and very little thought given to customer service or comfort.

Stayed here for one night this weekend. Had such a lovely and memorable stay. My sister advised the hotel that it was my birthday and they really added the personal touch to make me feel special. Special thanks goes to Erin in the spa who was so lovely and welcoming, he is a real asset to your hotel. Our room was lovely overlooking the gardens. Great location to explore Cheltenham as only a short taxi ride away. We had a spa treatment and used the pool area which were all nice. All staff we spoke we were friendly and welcoming. The cookie on arrival is also a nice touch. I would definitely return to this hotel 😊

This was an excellent hotel. Service was great. From James in reception who welcomed us with professionalism and warmth & tips to visit, to the restaurant staff who were helpful and responsive. The chef was great - food was tasty and to a great standard. The housekeeping staff were friendly and accommodating as well. We had an awesome and restful stay. Our dog enjoyed the bed and treats as well as walks in the beautiful grounds. Breakfast was excellent and the rooms were clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. We will make tgis hotel an regular on our list.

The Frogmill has a lot going for it - beautiful location, nice decor, great restaurant, lovely staff. However, this genuinely was the worst overnight stay we've ever had in a hotel. And the fact we paid £192 for the privilege added insult to injury. The room was right above the bar/restaurant and there was a ceiling-mounted speaker directly below our floor. Music was playing until 11pm and started again at 8am, waking us up. Staff were understanding in the evening when we asked them to turn it down so we could sleep, but even at the lowest volume it was audible in our room. The worst thing, though, was a pair of blokes in the room above ours coming back drunk at 1am and blasting music from their speakers - we went up to ask them nicely to turn it off and they almost immediately turned it back on again. When we went back up they were quite threatening. We then called the night number for the hotel (the reception isn't manned but a mobile number is provided for out-of-hours) and every single call went to answerphone. We only managed 2 or 3 hours sleep before the breakfast music and the cleaners (whose supply cupboard was next to our room) woke us up. If this were a chain/budget hotel I would just let it go and chalk it up to the luck of the draw, but to charge just shy of £200 for an experience like this leaves a really bitter taste in the mouth.

I used the lis hotel as a base to visit with friends. Hotel was great, staff were friendly and helpful and the room was spacious and well laid out. The breakfast was comprehensive, nicely cooked and hot, the fruit and pastries were fresh and the coffee was fab. I will definitely use this facility again I will definitely stay here again.

Super comfortable beds, delicious food and the fluffiest towels ever. Lovely stay in a lovely town and area. The Bull is a traditional English pub with rooms/country hotel and a great location to explore surrounding area. Unfortunately we didn’t have a chance to try the breakfast but the staff v kindly allowed us to order lunch by phone on our way to them as we were going to miss the kitchen closing.

Receptionist friendly and helpful A feeling that the young staff hadn't been trained adequately not supervised. They were helpful but little things like table not set correctly no side plates. Trying to have a quiet breakfast and staff were chatting and giggling behind us. Member staff had torn leggings. Generally expected staff to be dressed smartly for a Best Western. Our bedroom was large and comfortable lovely view outside window. Unfortunately at night we were unable to get to sleep due to people drinking in the conservatory part until 2pm. My partner had to shout out of window politely saying ”did they know what time it was”. The hotel, in our view, should have a policy with regard to no outdoor drinking after midnight for consideration of other customers.
