Mangwa Valley Game Lodge & Spa

Very dissapointed at this place, I would not recommend it. And to be fair, it was mainly the because of the bad service we received from Yvonne. From when we arrived, she just opened the gate, did not give us directions as to how to get to reception. thanks to the gentleman at the reception who asked that she call us to find out where we are because we were getting lost within. we also had to stand outside because she told the guy at reception the wrong room number. The rooms were clean, but cold, I wouldnt advise going there in winter. the walls are so thin , you can hear everything from the other rooms. on our first night, our neighbors played loud music throughout the night. The next day we went to speak to Yvonne to find out if we can move to a newly vacated room of which was at the far end. Between her and the housekeeping lady, I dont know who was worst, they agreed but we ended up not getting the key, we waited and waited, even asked Yvonne to tell housekeeping to open, you could see she was visibly annoyed at us. I had even asked to borrow an iron of which never came. Yvonne really made our stay worse than it should have been with her bad service, Im not sure if she does this with all guests or she classes people up. No matter how great or bad a place is, Good or bad service determines how people view it. The people at the restuarant gave us good service, even the gntelement at the reception the evening we arrived.

We were booked in the Executive 8 Sleeper Chalet. The chalet was clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The bon fire and sunset game drive were amazing. The hot water bottles unfortunately leaked.

After a very late decision to change our wedding venue, we decided on Mangwa and it was the best decision. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful in general but especially in the lead up, set up and on the day. We hosted a small affair the night before and the perfect wedding on the Saturday. The staff helped make everyone feel welcome and coordinated it perfectkly The food was impeccable, the rooms were gorgeous and the entire experience was surreal. I would HIGHLY recommend Mangwa.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay at Mangwa again. Yvonne and all the other staff made us feel if we were VIP guests. Thank you Mangwa for the amazing time

We visited Mangwa Valley Game Lodge the first week in March for a work conference. What stood out the most for us, was how friendly the staff was. They went over and beyond to cater to our every need. The food was spectacular and every detail was looked after with so much attention. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the Lodge for weddings or conferences or just a day out with the family.
