這個賓館算是庫克斯檔次比較高的賓館了，賓館外面步行就可以到達港口，可以去看看這個港口的壯觀和目睹大型來往船衹。
房間各類擺設也呈現出一種港口風格，房間空間很大，賓館外面還有性比較超高的冰淇淋店，據説那個餐廳也很不錯，期待下次有機會機會嘗試。

Very good hotel, nice breakfast, good spa area, quiet rooms. Even the room closest to spa was quiet. In the room bathrobe, extra towel and slippers - all handy for the use in spa. Parking area is sufficient, two parkings one in the front of the main entrance and one in the backyard. Costs 10€ per night, but always spots available.

Reception: friendly and professional, efficient process Room: spacious enough for its category, nicely furnished, comfortable bed Bathroom: functional (little downside: no body lotion) Housekeeping: excellent Breakfast/Restaurant: fantastic view from the 6th floor, food and drinks average quality Pool/Sauna: a bit overrated in the description of the hotel, the pool is really tiny (crowded when 2 people are in it)

Äußerlich ist das Donners sicherlich in den 1970ern stehen geblieben, aber die Inneneinrichtung ist sehr nett gemacht und zumeist gut durchdacht. Die Zimmer sind sehr nett dekoriert und bieten alle Bequemlichkeiten, die man in dieser Kategorie erwartet. Frühstück im 6. Stock bietet einen schönen Blick auf die Elbmündung und den Schiffsverkehr. Das Frühstücksbuffet war etwas auseinander gerissen. Das geht sicher besser, der Service aber sehr nett und bemüht. Das Frühstücksangebot war absolut o.k.. Da zumindest während unseres Aufenthalts mehrere Gruppen eingebucht waren stellte sich die Bar als deutlich zu klein dar. Die Bar macht auch erst um 20 Uhr auf. Eingezäunter Parkplatz, Fahrradhütte und Raucherecke im Hinterhof sind positiv bemerkenswert.

Auf Nachfrage nach einem Seeblickzimmer wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass keines zur Verfügung steht. Ankunft in Hotel: wir bekommen ein Seeblickzimmer, ABER dieses Zimmer hatte die Größe eines Schuhkartons: extrem klein und eng! Die Zimmer konnten ins Landblickzimmer getauscht werden/ vernünftige Größe, Platz. Das Essen lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig! Der Fisch zu trocken, das Fleisch „tot gebraten“ Die Zimmerreinigung entspricht nicht einem 4* Hotel, es gibt keine Bodylotion etc. Die Hotelbar ist nur zu bestimmten Zeiten geöffnet, es gibt kein Knabberzeug. Getränke und Knabberzeug gibt es nur extrem überteuert im SB-Bereich.
