We stayed 2 nights in the laobans home and man, what a stay. We arrived and without asking, we were upgraded to brand new rooms. Everything was very clean, new and smelled like fresh wood. He and his wife were really welcoming, we chatted a bit (as far as my limited mandarin skills allowed) and laughed a lot. On the second night his daughter cooked dinner for us (price was very fair) and the food was delicious. Thank you so much guys, you are awsome!

The hotel owner are very very kind, we arrived late so we were worried that there will be nothing to eat. So the owner took us to her friend restaurant, which already close and ask them if they can cook for us ! And then we discovered that she knows everybody in town, everybody are so nice and kind. they invited us to take a rest in their home, play with their kid, shared some local drink. We had a very good experience there, lots of good memory happened here in one night, highly recommended! And !They even have ancient observation tower in the hotel !

Absolutely lovely hotel, spacious and comfortable room and relaxing outdoor seating area with a watchtower directly in the garden. The owners and staff were very friendly. Good location to visit the village.

His family has two buildings, old and new. I live in the new building, which has quite good facilities. The old building is more traditional, but the hardware is slightly worse. The location of the homestay is excellent. It is the area with the most concentrated landscape in Zhonglu. It is only a few minutes' walk away and there are many photo-taking spots around it. And the homestay itself is also a good check-in spot

The deluxe view room I booked is very large and clean. The mattress is moderately soft and hard. The large floor-to-ceiling window allows you to see Mount Merdo. There is a parking lot at the door and you can drive directly there. The century-old pear tree is right next to it. It's nice.

****This was a lovely guesthouse with really cute ethnic buildings.
The location is great, with the iconic Zhonglu tower on the premises.
The view from the room window was amazing, the plumbing was clean, there was air conditioning and a hot shower, and there was an electric futon so I was able to sleep warmly.
The owner's family was really kind, and they treated us to a delicious lunch, arranged a car for us, and were really helpful.
I would definitely recommend this guesthouse if you're staying in the area.

It was a very special place. We are all urban people and have never lived in such a building. The boss was very nice. We ordered hot pot that night and there were not enough vegetables. She immediately washed the vegetables she grew for us to eat. It was really nice.
