"The hotel was clean and tidy, the atmosphere was peaceful and quiet, the staff provided excellent service, and the food was delicious and clean. It's suitable for those with their own vehicle as it's located quite far from the main road. Overall, I was very impressed and will definitely return."

"We cancelled a confirmed and fully paid room for New Year's Eve from December 31, 2025 to January 1, 2026! We flew in from far away to celebrate New Year's at this hotel. We paid everything in advance and received confirmation of our reservation and payment. Then, on December 31, 2025, at lunchtime, we were shocked to learn that our reservation had been cancelled and our money would not be refunded. Not only was my New Year's Eve ruined, but also my engagement. I had planned to propose to my girlfriend on New Year's Eve. They ruined all our plans, which we had been preparing for a month. Put yourself in my shoes and tell me what kind of review I should leave for this hotel?"

PangFan Rock&River ★★★

📍 116 Village No.5, Pa Miang, Doi Saket

"I visited this restaurant several months ago, and enjoyed the experience. However my latest visit was disappointing. They have changed everything around and moved the restaurant. Upstairs are the staff, and downstairs by the river for customers. Access to downstairs is poor. Downstairs there is no member of staff. And you have to scan a qr code on your table to access the menu. And just hope they bring the correct item. If you need a member o of staffs attention, you need to climb back up to the upstairs floor. Apart from that, the food has very small portions, is not that tasty and very overpriced, as are the drinks! Not a place I shall ever return to."

"What deserves the most praise is the exceptionally clean and well-maintained interior of this homestay, comparable to the Japanese guesthouses we stayed in during our travels in Japan. We later learned that the host had indeed lived in Japan. The host also put great care into the meals. Breakfast is generous and varied daily, and the coffee-making experience in the morning sunlight is delightful. Lunch and dinner are equally impressive, with visually appealing, aromatic, and delicious dishes reflecting a high standard of cooking. The attentive and thoughtful service further leaves a lasting impression."

Jasmine Hills Lodge

Jasmine Hills Lodge ★★★

📍 123, Jasmine Hills Villas and Spa, 4, Cheang Doi, Doi Saket District, Choeng Doi, Doi Saket

"I stayed alone as a solo traveller at Jasmine Hills Lodge for 4 months, from December 2023 to April 2024, and it was exactly what I was looking for/needed. Peaceful, beautiful, and the air is filled the smell of plumeria flowers (frangipanis) of many colors and varieties. I stayed in one of the townhomes and it was perfect. I fed the fish outside of my front door every morning and fell asleep to the sounds of Thailand's many creatures at night. I often slept with the doors open (with screens closed) to allow the cool breeze in, but in mid March and April it got a little too warm at night for that. As much as I enjoyed Jasmine Hills' nature and surroundings, it was the people that really made the stay as amazing as it was. Dolly, Paul and their employees Ding, Fa, and Na all treated me with so much kindness and consideration that it was hard for me to leave. Jasmine Hills is a wonderful place to stay whether it is just for one night, or for 6 months, you won't be disappointed. Thank you, Dolly, Paul, Ding, Fa, and Na. I hope to return some day.. Best wishes to all of you. Tim"

Papai Country Lodge ★★★
"Awesome environment with beautiful trees and plants all around. A quiet place and an ideal place even if staying in the resort for the whole day. Mind becomes peaceful just staying there. Location is a bit remote (around 45 min from the city) that it's better to drive by yourself or Grab/ Bolt. We travelled during New Year so it's hard to Grab/ Bolt (even local Thai people came to Chiangmai due to the cool weather so it's very crowd in the city and it's hard to Grab/ Bolt). Thanks to the owner who was always available to help get us transportation back and forth the city and resort. Highly recommend the place! As for cleanliness, it's actually very good except the little insects which is natural to this resort environment."

Jasmine Hills Lodge ★★★
"My recent stay at Jasmine Hills Lodge in Doi Saket, Thailand, was an experience I won't soon forget, but for all the wrong reasons. The lodge feels like you're living in someone's backyard, complete with all the unwanted pests and none of the comforts you'd expect from a vacation spot. Upon arrival, we were immediately put off by the dated facilities. The floor is bare cement, and the sheets were stained and uninviting. To make matters worse, the bidets and faucets didn't work, adding to our discomfort. The lack of ecological pest control was evident, with centipedes, lizards in the refrigerator, beetles crawling out of drains, and an ant infestation in the toilet. It was like stepping into a horror movie. Speaking of horror, our check-in experience was straight out of Hitchcock's "The Birds." Instead of birds, we were swarmed by thousands of moths around all the lights and doors. We screamed for two hours straight, unable to believe what we were witnessing. One would think I was there scouting horror film locations. While I appreciate the gardens and ponds, the lack of ecological pest control severely detracts from their beauty. Adding to the discomfort, the air conditioning was limited to just the bedroom, leaving the rest of the unit hot and stuffy. With so many critters indoors, I couldn't trust unpacking my belongings, fearing they would become infested or damaged. The final straw was the overwhelming number of critters in the lodge. Horrified, we only managed to stay for one night before booking elsewhere for the remainder of our stay in the area. In summary, Jasmine Hills Lodge might be suitable if you need a place to live and can tolerate these conditions. However, if you're looking for a vacation spot, this is not the lodge for you. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had while traveling, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone seeking a relaxing and enjoyable trip."
