We spent seven nights in Dorint Dresden for a private stay in Dresden. A major advantage of this hotel is its traffic-friendly location: the old town with its attractions is in a footing distance, the tram driving in Dresden at close distances holds almost outside the door. The hotel itself is not new, but the public areas make a well-treated impression and our standard room to the indoor courtyard on the second floor was clean, spacious and very quiet. The room design is originated from another time, which has not disturbed us, but modernisation should necessarily be accompanied by additional sticks. The service in the house was professional, the staff were friendly and accessible to the guests' concerns at any time. The breakfast offer was in line with the ”international standard” for a hotel of this category, the fresh egg food and the associated supplements were much better than in many other hotels. Critically, the great offer of sauce and bakery products in Dresden and the surroundings was only extremely limited - backbrushes, cutting etc. were acceptable standard products as they exist everywhere, But with which you don't even get off. Damn. The high prices in the deep garage (17 Euros per day) criticized in other reviews can easily be handled with a 10 Euro cheaper parking behind the hotel. However, this price policy is incomprehensible. On the house policy of non-cleaning of rooms for sustainability reasons, note: The daily cleaning of rooms can be logged in at check-in - you are explicitly asked by the receptionist - that then works without any mistake. It is only strange that Dorint does not give incentives to refrain from cleaning - targeting a bad consciousness is rather contraproductive. Finally, the daily opening of the bar in a well-booked hotel should be obvious. The bar staff makes a great job. Overall, Dorint Dresden is very recommendable for a short stay, even if there and there is still ”air up”. We would come back.

In the centre. Park in one of the many underground parkings and go out to the square with the Frauenkirche in front. The parking is expensive (EUR 25 per day), but to have a two-step car in the centre of a city can be stayed. This is a true luxury hotel with some significant history. The hotel is beautiful, and the rooms are outfitted to a high standard. The location is perfect for touring, with easy walking to the various sites within the old town of Dresden. My wife and I stayed in one of the standard rooms on the top floor, and even with a king bed, it was a spacious room with two chairs, a desk, and entertainment cabinet. The marble bathroom was huge, although if you have mobility issues, getting in and out of the deep tub shower might be difficult. There are many restaurants and bars in the area, so we did not experience either at the hotel. I'd stay there again without hesitation.

Location is good. Facilities are a bit too old to be rightfully at the Hilton brand standard, but acceptable and understandable at this price level. On the services, there is substantial room for improvement. Staff are responsive but badly need to be trained with better protocols and practices.

Best positive surprise on my whole trip. Very good location, not in the center but few steps to the train station Dresden-Neustadt, tramway in front of the hotel and also around the corner, 5 min to the Barock Viertel with lots of restaurants and bars and approx 15min walking right into the center/ old town. Very clean and modern rooms, excellent breakfast buffet, friendly helpful staff and moderate rates.

For the life of me, I cannot comprehend how this hotel have 4 stars. When you look at Tripadvisor before you book the hotel, you get the impression that's it a 4 star hotel with many facilities. Well that's straight up wrong. I paid a 100 euros for a hotel room that looked like somewhere out of the 90's with no minibar and a toilet holder that broke apart the moment you touched it. But hey, you got a free bottle of sparkling water? I've stayed in a looot of 4 star hotels, but this was like staying in the hotel I stayed at on a study trip to Madrid. And that's definitely not a compliment! When checking in, I found out that all facilities listed are in the hotel next door, The Marriot Courtyard. The service was nice, but the food was horrible. I didn't even stay for the breakfast the morning after ew. Honestly maybe 2 stars are too much, but I had a really nice server at the restaurant, so that weighs up for a little. Also you couldn't enter the parking garage or get out of it, if you didn't have your key card. Which is absolutely brilliant when you have checked out and handed in your key card. Not. I will never ever recommend this hotel to anyone, not even my worst enemy. Never ever Best Western again.

Overall, an ok stay. The location is perfect; members of staff are friendly, efficient and helpful. From my point of view, 25 Euro for breakfast are fair considering the ample self-service area and the additional options to order egg etc. which are included. My only problem was that there was a very considerable smell coming from all sewers (shower, bidet, sink) in my bathroom. To be fair, they immediately sent someone up after my complaint, but housekeeping could not do much beyond spraying air freshener. The hotel also offered another room but I since I had unpacked everything before noticing and since I was not about to spend a lot of time in the bathroom anyway I declined. Though this is certainly a fundamental drainage issue, the hotel really tried hard to remedy the problem.

Overall very satisfied, the price is not expensive, but I am very dissatisfied with Ctrip, spent more money than others does not include breakfast, and is a business twin room, the hotel front desk repeatedly and I confirm whether it is a person, why set double bed? This time, Ctrip has set up a number of hotels in the country, basically no breakfast, and the price is more expensive than the breakfast included on Agoda. I regret it with Ctrip, but I can’t cancel it. I am a Platinum member. Nothing wrong, Ctrip is not slaughtering.
