Decent old Irish pub offering a traditional pint of Murphy's. Not sure about the food but lovely friendly atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone whilst in Dublin. No love music when we went but it was cozy and nice. Drinks were a reasonable price and it was really close to St Stephens Green

Absolutely loved our stay! Excellent location to all the main sights. Very walkable area. Room was clean, with a comfortable bed and nice hot shower. The room is small but not a big deal at all. What makes the place so special is the pub downstairs. A true highlight of our time in Dublin. The staff was wonderful, got to chat with the bartenders and musicians and party like a local to great Irish music. Highly recommend!

Yet another famous Irish pub that we hadn’t visited before and looked forward to it because of The Dubliners connection, so popped in for a drink. It obviously would be far better when there’s live music but I doubt we’ll be back. It’s authentic for sure but really quite dirty and smelly and no need for that. Quite disappointed. Outdoor area at the side which was also smelly and the toilets were pretty grim.

Great pub, traditional style and look with good selection of beers, absolutely buzzing on a Saturday night but got served quickly and found a table in the courtyard, great beer and great location to soak up the atmosphere of this brilliant city

A packed pub with a real traditional interior. Dark and cosy and musicians were playing great traditional Irish music when we arrived around 5pm on a wet Friday. This was a surprise as it wasn’t supposed too start until 8! 🤣 Great atmosphere and there were regulars and tourists alike enjoying it all

Avoid this place. The bar smells bad & is filthy. The toilets are disgusting. The worst toilets I have ever been in, the smell was so bad it made me vomit & I heard the Gents are even worse. So a bad start to the night when I vomit before I even start drinking. The bar staff are so rude, the way they spoke to tourists was disgusting, I was embarrassed to be Irish, I found myself apologising to tourists for the way they were treated. Bar staff using horrific language, loudly slagging customers, how they look, what they are wearing, shouting at customers, telling customers to shut up & move out of the way of the bar or the door, the pub is tiny, so nowhere for these people to move too. I was there to support a friend playing in the band & although the music was great, I will never return, not even to support a friend. I felt filthy and sick leaving the bar. I definitely would not be eating from this place. I didn’t see anyone order food so I couldn’t believe it when I heard they actually serve food, not sure how they get away with that in such a filthy smelly space. The drink is quite expensive too, more like Temple bar prices..

We selected this pub as a venue to listen to traditional Irish music. As soon as we entered, we were directed to seats nearest to where musicians were to play. The staff could not have been more courteous and helpful. The atmosphere was genuine. And when we were leaving, one of the bartenders came with us to flag down a taxi. For a lively breath of Old Dublin, go to O'Donoghues.

We had an great visit to O'Donoghue's. The bartenders were fantastic and very professional. The history that can be found here is awesome. The pictures and memorabilia about the Dubliners is great to see.
