Ongoing refurb means this is one of the cleanest places you’ll find even though there are still light paint fumes and (during our visit) no restaurant or bar open. Very nice staff on duty, spotless rooms and big, free, car park. My only slight recommendation would be to add a second curtain (net or otherwise) to let light in and yet maintain privacy on the ground floor and to add sugar to in-room coffee as not everyone can take sweeteners. Otherwise it’s a really nice refurb you’re doing here with some attentive and chatty staff.

I had a lovely warm welcome from a lovely lady named Fiona. The hotel was undergoing a refurb and Fiona took the time out to explain what the bar and restaurant was going to look like. Fiona also highlighted the drinks, food and breakfast Meuns, and that you will be serving cocktails when your bar reopens. I look forward to coming back and seeing the new design.

First the good The parking is free Now the not so good We had pre-ordered breakfast for the two mornings we would be there. When we got there, they were refurbishing the dining area. The receptionist told us that it 'was on our website' and I pointed out that we did not need to see their website. She then told us that we did not have breakfasts ordered - something i put right by showing her our receipt. A conversation with her manager produced a promise of a refund. The room The previous two nights we had stayed at Premier Inns and I have to say they were sooo much better than this place. The room was small with no place to put suitcases and very little hanging space. The bathroom was small, watch your knees if you sit on the loo. No aircon and the window when open was open to traffic noise (even on the third floor) The WIFI is dreadful and that is putting it politely. You get half an hour free a day otherwise it is 3 pounds. My speed measure barely reached .5 mb download speed. when we came back from the Black Country Museum, our card would not work on our door. The manager was on the desk and reprogrammed it. When asked what happened I was told that 'it obviously wasn't programmed for two nights.' Not sure what would have happened if we came back late and no one was there. The soap dispenser on the sink ran out and the receptionist gave us a small glass with what smelt like washing up liquid in it to replace it. No one cam in the next day to refill. So lots of little things that end up being a large thing.

Travelodge was perfect for our visit planned to Black country museum , just a few steps and we were there , Travellodge is so convenient for visiting the Zoo and much more , Travelodge has ample car parking which is free , the staff are lovely so helpful and polite , has lifts to upper floors , we stayed in 206 we found it fresh and comfortable , good shower and a kettle that fits under tap to fill , the hotel had visitors coming in at different times they were fairly quiet and polite , the hotel accomadates families and couples , I definitely recommend , my family are going to use travelodge next time they chose a house this time but regretted once they saw where I was staying , so convenient for many reasons , the cafe is closed for short period but there's many places to eat about 3 minute walk places for all palette ,

Hotel was clean. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially breakfast staff. It was quiet in the rooms. Plenty of eating places in a few minutes walk as well as bowling & cinema. Our room at the front overlooked Dudley zoo & castle. There was air conditioning in every room so temperature was comfortable. The staff were very accommodated.

Me and my husband were so looking forward to our night away in this hotel. At 7.35am we were awoken by loud drilling coming from the dining area directly below our room. After going downstairs to see the reception we were told that refurbishing work was being undertaken. Surely the common sense thing to do would be to put your guests away from any work that was being done, but oh no, we'll put our guests in a room directly above a construction site....unbelievable !!!!. We have made attempts to speak to the Hotel manager and to date we have had no response. Totally unprofessional. Travelodge were happy to take our money prior to our stay for both our breakfasts then 2 days before our stay we were emailed to let us know that we would have no breakfast as the dining room was being refurbished and the cheek of it to say that it may take upto 10 days for us to be refunded after the date of our stay. As they say hindsight is a wonderful thing, if we had this then we wouldn't of hesitated and spent our night at an alternate hotel for which there are numerous in Dudley. We will never spend another night at a Travelodge.

Attentive staff, spotlessly clean room, plenty of free parking. Excellent value and free children’s breakfast a bonus. Short walk from the leisure park and Black Country museum

Hotel was exceptionally clean, staff wonderful. Close to the Zoo and Museum, perfect location. Only downside was the internet connection, nothing that couldn’t be solved. Staff very helpful especially the young lady on reception Daria. She has helped us with anything and everything we needed throughout our stay and made us feel at home with her welcoming smile. Hotels need more people like her. Will 100% be returning.

We were really disappointed with our recent stay. We have been to Dudley premier inn a few times in the past and it seems to have gone hill a lot! The bathroom ceiling was mouldy and our towels were dirty. Reported to staff who said they would let housekeeping know. Really disappointed and won’t go back in the future!

From the outside, it appears just like any other Travelodge but dont be fooled, this particular Hotel & its Staff give the "Big Hotel Chains" a run for there Money! Place is truly looked after by all of its staff, where any request is absolutely no problem. Dudley Zoo is a stones throw away & if you time your stay right, you are greeted with the most amazing noises from the Animals in the evenings when there keepers have left & they have the Zoo to themselves. A huge thankyou to Sunny, Daria & Gurjeet for everything.

Stayed Sunday as a getaway after having my op was amazed to have interconnecting rooms so my little boy was going back and fourth in his walker and absolutely loved it - this was done by Steve on reception! Room was clean and fresh and shower was nice and hot! Would stay again if in area again! Also think the housekeeper was called Emily or Ellie she was really polite and friendly!

Travelodge Dudley, to my opinion is not too to the city center and it has a free parking place which make it a nice place to stay for holiday and business. But my experience was not a good. I was even promise to be compensated which they never do.

Good clean accommodation with adequate parking in a good location. No fruit juices at breakfast but otherwise self service was ok. Alternative food and drink a couple of hundred yards away, McD and harvester.
