I've never experienced such a wonderful desert hotpot in my life! After gazing at the majestic rolling sand dunes during the day, I sat in the open-air courtyard in the evening, the copper pot bubbling with steam, and I ate lamb rolls wrapped in sesame sauce. The evening breeze, carrying the coolness of the sand, blew past, and I looked up to see the sunset painted a vibrant orange-pink glow—the contrast was incredible! The most amazing thing was the starry night sky. Lying on the lounge chairs set up by the hotel, the Milky Way was so clear it looked like a handful of diamonds, and even the twinkling stars were visible. The waiter said that on clear days, you could even see a shooting star, and sure enough, I saw one shortly after waiting, and quickly closed my eyes and made a wish. The room was also very comfortable, completely unlike the desert. The hot water was plentiful, the bedding was soft, and when I opened the curtains in the morning, I could see the sunrise, painting the sand dunes a golden rim. Next time I visit the desert, this will definitely be my only choice!

We stayed 2 nights. The hotel is very nice, clean, and centrally located. The staff was very friendly and helped us with all our requests. In particular the girl with the black glasses at the reception, whose name we don't remember, was wonderful. We like to say Thank you Again We highly recommend this hotel if you are in Dunhuang.

Everything was great overall. If you visit during the off-season, it would be even better value for money. Staying at the hotel also gives you a discount on the desert stargazing class. When you factor that in, it ends up being about the same price as staying elsewhere and booking the class separately, which is quite thoughtful of them. My wife and I stayed for two nights. We went to the desert on the first night and listened again from the rooftop on the second night. We were very satisfied. Overall, the stargazing experience in the desert is better, though the rooftop has more light pollution, it's more comfortable. It really depends on personal preference. The only issue I found was the limited options for food delivery nearby (only a few choices and long delivery times). I suggest the owner consider preparing some simple late-night snack ingredients like instant noodles or dumplings. Charging a normal price for these would likely improve reviews even further. Oh, and the stargazing class package is actually very well put together, from photography to souvenirs, they've thought of everything. I have one small suggestion, haha. Perhaps they could prepare a digital guide (with constellation lines) beforehand showing the stars that will be visible or discussed that night. Guests could look at it beforehand, which might be helpful, as not everyone has perfect eyesight, and a reference would make it easier to imagine.
