This was our second stay at the Cedars Guest House. Our first stay was in 2019 and when returning to Dunoon for a second visit to this delightful town, we had no second thoughts about staying at the Cedars again. Jackie and Ray are wonderful hosts. Jackie cares about her guests, and goes above and beyond to help ensure that your stay in the area is as best as it can be. Her attention to detail and knowledge is just amazing. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Nice shower and the view from the rooms overlooking the firth are wonderful. Added to that the comfortable chairs to watch the activity on the firth, one could just be content sitting and observing. However, knowing there is so much to see and do, and knowing that a wonderful breakfast is waiting for you, spurs you on to get going in the morning and take on the day. After a day of seeing the sights, it is nice to relax in those comfortable chairs with a cup of tea and just appreciate your good fortune to have had the opportunity to be in Dunoon at the Cedars.

We've just enjoyed a 3-night stay at The Cedars, where the warmth of the welcome from Jackie could not have been better. Our room was clean and comfortable, and well appointed, the breakfasts could not have been better. Jackie went out of her way to give us helpful tips for places to visit and things to do. The location is excellent, right on the sea front and only 7 mins walk from the centre of town. The views across the Firth on a clear day are wonderful. There's ample on-street parking available. One stand-out is the attention to cleanliness, hygiene and Covid protection in place, which was very pleasing to see. When we return to Dunoon, The Cedars will be our automatic choice. There may be cheaper guest houses, but The Cedars is worth it.

What a great place to stay. Well kept and Jackie goes out of her way to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. It was nice walking around Dunoon and the nearby Lorne restaurant was great. We look forward to returning. Thank you John and Jackie Frank Pittsburgh Pennsylvania

Fantastic guest house. Owners really friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are spacious, well furnished and immaculate. Sea views are stunning. Only short walk from ferry and the town centre is only a short walk away also.

Jackie provided excellent information prior to our visit in terms of where to buy ferry tickets from to get the best price. She checked our mobility was good as our room was a few flights of stairs up and that was good as there will be folks with limited mobility. The Bed and Breakfast was immaculate throughout. Our room was to the front and we sat watching the river in the evening as ferries came back and forth. The bed was super king and very comfortable. The breakfast was very well prepared and tasty and set us up for the day. A really well run operation and a great asset to Dunoon. Mind and visit Benmore Botanic Gardens when in the area.

The owners of this lovely guest house could not be more accommodating. My Uncle in his senior years, was treated with utmost respect and attention. Jackie went out of her way to make his stay comfortable and organise restaurant and taxi bookings for him. Highly recommend.

Loved my stay, couldn't of done more for me,even made me a packed lunch because I was starting work fat to early to get breakfast, Very clean and comfortable, and a lovely relaxing front garden , I would definitely like to return

This was our second stay at The Cedars, and we were warmly welcomed by Janice who couldn't have looked after us better. Lovely breakfasts and a comfortable room in a excellent location in the town. When we return to Dunoon The Cedars will be our automatic choice.

We stayed at The Cedars Guest House for one night before boarding Argyll Cruising. Jackie was a wonderful hostess and we had a perfect room. Jackie made a dinner reservation for us, booked a taxi for us, suggested things to do and see, and prepared a delicious breakfast. Our room was comfortable and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our time!
