Stayed 2 nights in a supposed twin room, which I think they upgraded us to a family room that had a bathtub :D location is 2 mins walk from the town hall with lots of resturant around & 10 mins from railway station. Very friendly staff who greets you every morning. Didn’t have breakfast included but the meal deal was pretty attractive (2 course meal + breakfast + drink for £24.99) so my friend and I decided to go for breakfast next morning (£9.90 for unlimited cooked + continental). Love the energy of the staffs :D

The worst hotel I stayed in since I came to the UK. It was more like a bar and belonged to a chain hotel. The bed was very soft and the bedding was very average. The breakfast was English breakfast with very few varieties. The room was quite big, but there was a smell of cigarettes as soon as I entered the room. The WAFI signal of the hotel was very poor and the connection was very cumbersome. I also needed to fill in the phone number and email address. I barely connected but it kept disconnecting. In fact, I still used the mobile data. The only thing worth mentioning was that the service of the waiter was okay, which was a plus point. I probably won't come again next time

First I stayed in the same brand hotel in north Durham for 4 nights, and then I stayed in this hotel in the city center for 12 consecutive nights. The location is very convenient, very close to the city center square and the train station, and the scenery nearby is very good. , The room is clean and the front desk staff is friendly. It's just that the natural wind blows all the time in the room, and it seems that it can't be adjusted to warm air or turned off. However, the temperature was not bad in early October, and I will stay here again if I have the opportunity.

The hotel is not far from the center of Durham, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk there. To check in, you need to click on the machine to check in. The service staff was very good and helped us with this series of operations. Although the room is not big, it has a hair dryer and air conditioner. The air conditioner doesn't seem to be very useful. The sheets are clean, but the soundproofing of the room is not good. If the next door is very noisy, it will affect the sleep. Fortunately, it was very quiet during the few days we stayed. The room smells very strong, which should be a smell from the sewer. The window must be opened for ventilation every day.

The location is convenient, about 10 minutes' walk from the train station. But it's quite far from the university.

I was staying at Premier Inn (Walkergate) on business every other week since May'24. to Oct'24. The staff made me so welcome, they knew my name, what eggs I liked for breakfast and drink I would like at the end of a very busy day at work! They were so friendly and helpful. If I returned to Durham I would only stay at this hotel. Anita (woman from the South of England)

We arrived to check in and the young gentlemen and the lady on reception were so genuinely friendly to everyone and got us checked in straight away on the machine. When passing throughout the night they always had a smile on their faces and even recommended places for us to visit in Durham. The hotel is very close to lots of shops, bars, and restaurants which is great. Whilst the bed was super comfortable as usual in Premier Inn, I can't stress enough how lovely the staff are- it really made our stay. Breakfast the next morning was spot-on with a lovely fresh and hot buffet. The new bar and restaurant was fab with 241 cocktails. We will definitely return here and hope to see the staff again!

I loved my stay here. It's not a 5⭐ hotel so you know what you're getting, but I thought it was great. Their biggest asset are the staff who couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Really central location, nice bar) restaurant, very clean rooms and the most comfortable bed ever. I'll definitely stay here again.
