When we arrived we were shown tp our room which was like a broom cupboard with no view from yhe balcony, but how lucky the had a better room they could.offer us at an additional €40 per night, very convenient. The hotel was spotlessly clean, there was plenty of choice for breakfast, and the staff were all very friendly. It has its own small beach with a limited d number of beds, we're early risers so getting a bed wasn't a problem. Some people are still reserving beds but overall, it's not much of an issue. It's a 10 minute stroll into the harbour area with lots of choice for restaurants. The head waiter has a habit of charging €7.50 for a glass of wine while the other waiters only charge €5. He was also quite disinterested when taking you food/drink order and was more concerned at waving at passing people/motorists to get them to come into the bar/restaurant rather than making those in their feel welcome. Sky bar was nice place to start the evening, lots of drink choices and at decent prices Overall, it was a great hotel in a great location and would visit again.

We initially thought our sea-view room was pleasant but on the smaller side. However, after being given access to another room on our last day to freshen up before departure, we realised just how fortunate we had been. Housekeeping was excellent, and the hotel was spotless throughout our stay. The private beach is quite small. While sunbeds are complimentary for guests, it’s nearly impossible to secure one unless you're up at the crack of dawn. The rooftop pool, though very enjoyable, had a similar issue—with limited sunbeds and parasols, getting a spot required arriving early. Despite signage requesting guests not to reserve loungers with towels, many still did, and staff didn’t enforce the rule. Breakfast was good, offering a varied self-service selection. It was served in a clean and hygienic area within the hotel. Evening meals were served at the Blue Sea restaurant, just across the road. It’s a charming spot set on a small pier extending into the sea. Unfortunately, for half-board guests, many menu items came with a supplementary charge. While the food was of good quality, the attitude of the head waiter left something to be desired. He appeared dismissive, seemingly because we weren’t spending beyond the half-board arrangement. Prime seating and warm hospitality were clearly reserved for à la carte diners, which felt unfair—especially considering we had prepaid for seven nights of meals not just one. We were so upset with his attitude, that we paid to eat elsewhere on the last day. The rooftop bar, on the other hand, was a highlight—offering stunning views, a relaxed atmosphere, and fantastic staff, both day and night.

Hotel is good, breakfast is lovely especially the Greek yoghurt and Greek honey, rooms are okay, balcony is very small. Wardrobe space is okay once you take out the iron and ironing board. Very little drawer space, I knew this before I came so bought a hanging drawer unit which worked well. Fridge, safe, Air Con, Nespresso machine, kettle and tea and coffee. I did take my own tea bags. The hotel is advertised as Adults Only with a private beach but there are issues. There is no such thing as a private beach in Greece apparently so a family stayed close by with 2 very young children. Also the Sky Bar is open to the public so children allowed in. Whilst most were well behaved, if I book an Adults Only hotel, I don't expect to see children around. The rooftop pool has 16 sunbeds and a couple of bean bag beds around the pool. I am awaiting a knee replacement so once down on the bean bag bed, I couldn't get up again. Went up there once only. Beach is lovely but again very few sunbeds, only 30. I hate playing the game of getting up early to reserve a bed but if I didn't do it, I wouldn't get one and as mentioned previously, I need a bed. But once I reserved a bed, I was on it all day. Beach is extremely shaly so swim shoes are a must. Hotel provides pool/beach towels but if you want to change them, they will charge €2 per towel for laundry costs so take your own. We did the trip to Spinalonga, ferry was €14 per adult return, entry into Spinalonga was €20 each. Loved the trip. We also did the 4 hour Happy Train tour, €25 per adult, and absolutely well worth the trip.

Spent 2 wonderful nights at this beautiful hotel. The circumstances of our visit were a little unconventional in the sense that we were moved here due to the forest fires that were close to our original hotel. We certainly struck gold. Beautiful room. Very clean with a large comfy bed and powerful AC. The staff were very welcoming and are a credit to the hotels management. The Hotels restaurant is attached to the beach by a small pier. The setting is very romantic and the food is exceptional. Again great staff enhance the experience. We feel privileged to have been guests of this hotel and thoroughly recommend you book your stay here without delay.

Had a fantastic stay at this beautiful hotel. The rooms are small but well appointed. Comfy beds and pillows. We were half board and the restaurant food in the evening was outstanding so no need to eat out. What really makes this hotel are the amazing staff especially the restaurant team and the staff in the Sky bar Popi and Spiros. Views from the Sky bar are just amazing. Breakfast and acces to beds at the beach and pool are the only slight negatives. Given the food quality in the evening the breakfast was a bit limited same offering every day and needs to include more variety especially fresh fruit as tinned peaches and pineapple were put out every day. We hardly used the private beach area or the roof top pool as very few beds and as usual these were hogged by people from 8am which meant we had to go to the pool bar next to the hotel where you can use their beds and pool free but we always bought drinks and lunch there so the hotel are losing out. Bit galling having spent over £2k for a weeks holiday and can't access the facilties That aside, we loved the holiday and would certainly return.

Me and my boyfriend had such an amazing time here in June 2025, we would definitely come back. This is the kind of hotel which is perfect for those looking for a calm and quiet stay. GARDEN ROOM We got a garden view room and the view was a tree haha so minorly disappointed but really what can you expect for a basic room! If you want a nice view maybe upgrade to sea view. The room was a good size with enough storage for us for a week despite some of the complaints. Also, it was really clean upon arrival and was cleaned every day with fresh bedding and towels. There was a free safe in the room, the air conditioning worked well, there was a hairdryer, and the shower was amazing. I read a review before I came that someone was woken up every day by Greek lady's talking very loudly outside the room (assumed to be the cleaners) and I can confirm this was true for us in room 411 (ground floor at the back of the hotel). It never bothered my partner because he seemed to always sleep through it and I didn't mind too much because it was at 8am and we needed to get up for breakfast and to get a lounger anyway. If this would bother you maybe ask for a different room. There was a tablet in the room with all the hotel information and the option to not have your room cleaned the next day which was helpful. There was TV and kettle in the room but we never used it. HOTEL There was good WIFI EVERYWHERE! The WIFI was great in our room, by the pool and even on the beach! The staff were so lovely and helpful and we had NO ISSUES throughout our stay. We brought our own towels but you can can use the hotels ones (paid deposit). There were enough loungers for us getting up at 8am (June time). The hotel is fairly small and very quiet. There was no music by the pool or sea so very peaceful. There was no entertainment which worked well for us because we were out eating and drinking in the evening anyway. The hotel itself was very clean. As you can see from the hotel pictures, you could eat your breakfast outside by the sea which was so lovely. We had a late flight so checked out at 11am and put our cases in the luggage storage room. Reception were able to book us a slot in the courtesy room which we were so grateful to have as we were able to shower and change before we left at 5pm. HOTEL FOOD AND DRINK The breakfast was good. There was hot 'English breakfast' food (eggs, sausages, bacon, mushrooms, and tomatoes), fruit (watermelon, tinned peaches etc.), Greek yoghurt, pastries, cereal, and other random bits. There was a fresh orange juice machine which was INCREDIBLE! They had a coffee machine which was okay and had cows and alternative milk (soya and almond). We had to pay for water which we found odd (not sure if that is common or not). The beer was very affordable (4.50 euros) and the cocktails were really good (9-11 euros). There were plenty of other drink options too. The Sky Bar opened at 11am. LOCAL AREA The hotel is just a short walk along the coast to plent

Just finished staying at the Akti Olous for a week as a solo traveler. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable with daily cleaning available if you wished it. The breakfast in the mornings was good with a good selection of hot and cold items. I stayed on a b&B basis but ate in the Blue Sea restaurant on two evenings. The food was delicious and well priced.
