Toilet would not flush, cracked tiles , broken furniture and beds no support . Hotel kindly changed our room , window not airtight, curtains blew with breeze, it was too late for us to seek alternative accommodation so we wrapped ourselves in towels in bed to keep cold away. Furniture shabby, had to boil kettle on floor. Phone not connected to anywhere, tv not working and noice from street all night. An absolute terrible experience, I could go on and on

I write this review for all traveler who will go to Ennis so you will not get a scam as my bad experience. I am a traveler for working in multiple country and never had this bad experience and get scam by the hotel . I stayed in hotel for 4 nights . The last day when I checked out 31st Nov , I returned the key and i can make sure that the room in a good condition , same as when I checked in . Somehow on 8th November shown up in my bank account that I have been charged by Queens hotel as £333.73. I never received a call about this charge earlier , never received an email so I thought I have been scammed . When I call them and then they said that I broke the mirror and the TV , They send me two pictures , mirror without glass and broken TV . That’s it ! They said no CCTV and I have to pay . The charge date on my bank is 8t November which 8 days after I checked out . I asked any evidence or proof that I broke it and they said the cleaner came in and it’s already broken . I tried many time to call the receptionist but they don’t bother to pick up . I hope any traveller who will stay in Ennis , please think many times . Make sure you make short video before you leave the room and show the date and time for your evidence that you leave the room in a good condition . But for sure I don’t recommend to stay in Queens Hotel Abbey road . BECAREFUL!!!

Location was great! Parking down the street in a paid lot but free overnight to before 9:00 am. No issues. Easy and friendly checkin. The restaurant and bar was closed the night we were there but the staff recommended a great place to eat. Loved the town.

I stayed at this hotel with 15 friends from the UK to celebrate my 50th Birthday last weekend. I was slightly worried after reading the reviews. The group booking procedure is a bit complicated but we all had no complaints when staying there. The staff were lovely, rooms were clean and spacious and everyone said how comfortable the beds were. Great location in Ennis! We were out in the evenings so returned back to the hotel quite late and really could not hear much noise being on the second floor that I had read about in previous reviews. Good value for the money we paid and we all said we would stay there again!

I had booked this hotel by contacting them directly for a one-night stay with my wife and son for a Saturday night. I was assigned room 127 at check-in. At about midnight, we were woken up by loud music and noise from a commotion - people shouting and arguing. I went to inquire at the front desk and was informed that we were in a room located right above their night club and this noise would continue till 3-4 a.m. I was quite surprised that no-one had mentioned this to me during my reservation process or check-in that this room was located above the night club and that there would be extremely loud sounds that would make it impossible to sleep! The front-desk night receptionist (Mr. Olu) told me that by signing the information form at check-in, I had agreed to their noise condition and that I would have been informed by the evening receptionist that there would be noise that night. He was false on both accounts. I had not signed the form accepting their condition (only provided the names of the guest party) and neither had the check-in receptionist informed me about the location of the room above the night club and the noise from the club. After much argument, the receptionist moved us to room 207 at about 12:45 a.m. That was a quieter room and we did manage to fall asleep later that night. Why was I not given this room in the first place? Why do guests rent a hotel room other than to rest? If the room provided cannot give a good night's rest, what is the purpose of the room? And why not inform guests about this at check-in and offer a choice of rooms away from the noise? Additionally, room 127 was dirty. In spite of the reservation for three people in the party, the room had just towels for two and amenities (soap, shampoo, etc.) only for one. Also no hair dryer in the room. It took them more than 30 minutes to deliver these after calling the front desk. The room was very basic. Plastic cups for tea. We had included a hot breakfast in our rate and it was just average - just one item from the menu. There is no entrance from the main street. You have to enter through a side door. To get to the elevator, one has to go through another door to enter a separate coffee shop. I feel deceived - the hotel's name does not indicate it has a nightclub and neither was it mentioned in any communication during the reservation process or check-in. Please stay away from this place, specially on a weekend night when the night club is open. It is not the place for a good night's rest.

I had a frustrating experience at Queens Hotel. Despite receiving an email confirmation stating that no deposit was required, I was shocked to find out at check-in that I had to pay a €150 deposit per room which was ending up costing me €300 because I had 2 rooms booked. Despite my attempts to explain the email agreement, the receptionist was rude and unhelpful, refusing to acknowledge the situation. This left me in a difficult position at 8 PM, forcing me to scramble for another hotel. The lack of professionalism and communication was frustrating, and I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience.

Avoid this filthy hotel. Upon checking in (which is after 4pm???????) we had to immediately swap rooms as the bathroom was absolutely filthy, mould on the ceilings and walls, shower head filthy, shower curtain rusty and flaking. We were given a different room which was better, however upon further inspection the room was also filthy. Under beds, skirting boards and corners haven’t been cleaned in ages. Not worth the money being paid. Obviously this hotel is in business because of the hen and stag crowd who only need a bed for the night.

Hotel is run down and there are no words to describe how ignorant the receptionist is. Shouted down the phone, kept speaking me over me and then hung. Booked a night for my sister through Lidl breaks. The amount due on arrival was €105. Receptionist charged €125. Breakfast was included and receptionist told my sister that the hotel does not include breakfast in their bookings. For a quiet life my sister did not argue and did not have breakfast. I contacted the hotel and politely informed the receptionist that the hotel made an error and asked for the €20 that was over charged and the cost of the breakfast which was paid for and not provided to be refunded. The receptionist refused to take any responsibility, no apology, shouted down the phone and told me that the hotel would not refund the money. I was in shock. I asked for the manager and apparently this’ll hotel does not have a manager and she claimed she was in charge. I have never in my life experienced the disrespect and down right ignorance from someone working in hospitality. It is clear that the hotel over charged and the decent thing is to apologise and refund the money. Hotel itself is run down and coupled with been overcharged and verbally abused by the staff I would recommend staying anywhere but here.
